By "compromise" I don't mean by deporting all black people or something. I mean by giving them nothing to fear, nothing to react to. Because that's what this rhetoric has led to; stupid people genuinely thinking the country is doomed.

If you tried a true socialist agenda in the USA, a proper left wing one as you'd enjoy, right now, there'd be civil war, almost without question. That's the environment, and that's why Biden is perfect, as he's not that guy. He seems a decent guy wanting to do decent things, but a pragmatist. Not the perfect politician, but the perfect politician for in the moment.

Absolutely right; by the same token, people over here should stop calling everyone slightly to the right of Corbyn a "tory", or, worse, a "fascist".

Its kind of hard to do that when people are actually Tories. Even someone like Austin sold his own party out for a nice cape and £300 a day.
