yea, I'm resigned to it more than scandalized by it.Why? I find it scandalous about every aspect of capitalism and how it ruins and destroys everything around me in life. Including my spiritual Everton. I find the wages and player prices scandalous.
If, out of a population of 7 or 8 billion, only a handful of people re able to play football to the top level, then I suppose there's an argument to how much they make. Likewise if someone can write a book that will sell ten million copies, they deserve to be handsomely reimbursed.
Now when it comes to investment portfolios, or massive inheritances, or people generally making millions with out doing a thing, that's far more scandelous to me.
If a company wants to pay Obama $60 million, it's because they've done their maths and they can make a profit off that investment.
In my view, that's absolutely fine. Obama has created a product that millions of people would want to buy, I've no problem with that making him millions.
In Obama's case, I'd imagine a huge chunk of that will go to philanthropic endeavors.
So in a strange way, Obama writing and selling his book will be very good for numerous charities.
