Why do you reckon he can't be the Republican nominee?...I'm not knowledgeable enough about US politics to know all the story...assumed he has too big a profile and voter popularity for anyone else to challenge him successfully
Legally, he could. I just think he’s in the process of and to an extent already has created too many enemies in the GOP establishment. I also think they really do regret letting him somehow take it in 2016 after being considered a joke for quite a while. So even if he wanted it, I just don’t see the party making it a possibility. Only my opinion.

Without wanting to derail the thread, there are no winners in that interview.

Neill is completely unprepared for a debate which is what Shapiro is asking for (he's a journalist so not sure what Shapiro is expecting). But Neill doesn't do a good job of interviewing or debating; he can't work out which he wants to do.

It's a man who has done basic research, trying to interview a man that doesn't want to be interviewed about his opinions. So it just ends up with Shapiro making Neill look like he's lazy and out of touch and Shapiro looks, unsurprisingly, like a man who is angry that he can't espouse his extreme beliefs as morally acceptable, because it's not in the confines of intellectual debate.
Thank you. That was exactly what I was trying to convey.
