Beginning to think Trump would happily put Americans into a civil war to keep himself in office, unbelievable. Republican party has become a world wide laughing stock, think some of them need to turn on Trump to retain just a little credibility. Surely at least some of them must be worried about Trump's mental capacity at the moment ?

From what I see , the democrats have potentially damaged their own short term future unless Harris is the planned replacement in 4 years (can she then do 2 terms?)

The republicans will have a candidate that isn't trump next time out so will get a lot of support from their own that may have voted against trump this time for personal reasons.

Whereas democrats have to fight a new campaign rather than continuing one next time out.

The Biden appointment was very short sighted when let's be honest , anyone but trump would have won this election for them.

I'm not clued up on American politics.

But this emphasis I keep seeing of counting every vote being touted by famous people now.

Isn't that how elections work? Why wouldn't you count every vote? lol

Because if you count all the votes Trump will lose.. except if its in a state Trump might win then of course you need to count them all..

Not sure that's true really. I heard it explained that this was really old white guy against old white guy.. which kinda explains it. Would Harris have won against Trump if she was the candidate? I doubt it....Trump is such a racist and misogynist that its difficult for him to throw this stuff against Biden. So In a way its kinda smart to put old white guy against old white guy in this context.. probably only an old white guy could beat Trump. 4 years time it will be a lot different I think.

In all honesty nothing will change; America will still be ruled by severe capitalism, have underbody of racial hatred and poverty on levels with third world countries.

The only difference is the person is at the top. The president is a puppet for the money men

It'll be nice to see the end of Trump but Biden is far from being an upgrade.

I'm so pleased I'm not American even if we have it pretty bad ourselves.

I'm not sure how Harris is perceived but she sounds a good game at least based on her experience.

I get what you say about biden so why not nominate someone 4 years younger than him for the 2 terms?

It's much easier to win a second term then it is to win a first , and the democrats have engineered into an easy (fought) win given the circumstances but face a fight next time that may well backfire on them.
