Oh man, interjecting that's gonna get me thread banned for off-topicality again. Tarnation.

Say, how 'bout that 2020 election, huh? Seems pretty wild. I may buy the t-shirt.

And the difference between the US and the UK regarding the difference between single and double quotation marks.
Come of it now he won't know that. Given he still doesn't get why Sanders lost to Biden and why people who voted for biden did so.

He hasn't the first clue about being in thai country or what this country and its people live though and live like.

Unlike the other non Americans on here he's never actually done research or at least taken the word of those who do know.

Anyway I think like I said Biden will win

Me and Steve are Irish
I have lived here for 12 years mate. Actually took a University course here too. I have also worked here all 12 years.

See if you lived here you would know that the more time you spend in a country. The more accustomed to the way they are and the way they use their language you start to use their language. I gave up fighting with auto correct changing english differences a long time ago. Also those annoying underlines, oh and colleagues telling me I spelt something wrong haha!

Then you should both cleave to that traditional bastion of Irish-in-America party politics, the Democratic Party.

I know you're not in the United States but I hope that won't stop you from casting at least one vote for the Democratic presidential candidate.

For his part, I can tell by his comment below that Steve is ready to vote as many times as it takes.

At least once haha!

Can’t possibly recommend the most recent episode of Dan Carlin’s Common Sense podcast enough. Touches on so much of the stuff we discuss in here regularly. If you have about an hour, it’s well worth your time.

I was under the belief that convicted felons lost all voting privileges
Florida voted to restore voting rights to all convicted felons. The state gov't decided to institute a "poll tax" whihc won't be heard until after the election. Which means that they would have to pay now to be able to vote.

I also thought that buying someone’s vote was illegal. I wish this money was donated to a worthwhile kids charity instead

He isn't giving the money directly to each person. There was a group already trying to raise money for this purpose and he is donating, along with several others, to that organization.

The law passed to give back voting rights excludes murder and sexual offenses.
Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana is classed a felony in Florida. That hardly warrants losing the right to vote for life.

For further perspective, prior to the right to restore the franchise to felons who served their time, nearly 10.5% of the entire age-eligible voting population of Florida was disenfranchised.

It might not surprise to know that the following states had the highest percentages of disenfranchised population: Florida, Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and Alabama.

And the lowest number of teeth per head.
