Votes have to be received by a certain date to be eligible in the UK. Although you can also apply for a proxy vote instead of a postal vote, i.e. let someone like your spouse, or mum or dad etc to vote on your behalf.
I don't know how it all works in the US, I'm just interested in the differences and trying to get my head around the issues in the news! I don't know much about the US version of the post office either lol
