I think Biden will win the popular vote. The electoral college is a different matter. Swing states are tightening up.

This is a very cool interactive simulation that demonstrates what group of states each needs to win.

The Battleground States Biden and Trump Need to Win 270
Yes, I know the discrepancies that can occur. But a 10 point lead at this point must surely count for something? It wasn't that close bewteen Clinton / Trump, right?

I don't look too much at national polls. If that spread is because blue states are becoming more blue, it means nothing. It is all about the toss up states and some of the lean Democratic states like PA where the race is tightening up.

I know. I stated that. However, if the Democrats are getting an even better grip of their own blue states, it doesn't take too much of a projection to believe that more people are being persuaded to vote Democrat amongst the swing states. Last time I read the lead in the swing states was 3.5 - 5 points in favour of Biden.

Sadly, these are the only states that matter and realistically not even all of these.
Soz my fellow yanks living in the others.

The ones that matter are going in the wrong direction. I'm really nervous. It's just like 2016 here - Pittsburgh and Philly have their heads on straight, but once you leave these metro regions it's an avalanche of Trump signs. I'm reminded of this reality every time I leave Allegheny County.

We need this to not be close. And this is where voter suppression in urban areas really swings elections.

Biden can lose PA and all the toss ups and win, but only just.

Hopefully Biden doesn't trip himself up in the debate. He just needs to let Trump sink himself with inanity while he looks calm and sensible.

I thought the same, they extrapolate polls into possibility of becoming president, same way it works here...there will still be seats that will also be tory or labour but the polling reflects seat breakdown

Stay nervous. Focuses the mind on what needs be done @Pittsburgh Footy! What you see in PA is true here in Texas. Suburbia is awash in Biden signs. Go into small-town Texas and the Cheeto love is strong.

Interesting polling I saw last night. Collin County is adjacent to Dallas. The population is a little over 1 million. In 2012, Romney won the county by 30. In 2016, Cheeto won by 14. The main Congressional race in the county (TX2) has the incumbent GOP Congressman in a dead heat and Biden leads by 2.

Also, the NRCC just announced they are pulling $2 million in ad funding that was set to run in Houston the last two weeks before election day. Their candidates in Harris and surrounding counties are in trouble.

Interesting. Here in East TN I’ve noticed there being FAR more Biden signs, but the neighborhoods where I work are definitely suburbia. A lot of the Trump stuff I see is the people who can’t be content to simply put a sign up in their front yard. Instead they feel compelled to fly a Trump flag from the front of their house, or between the two rebel flags on the back of their F-150.
