I may be a broken record about this but I hope you will indulge me as I am just so damn proud of my hometown. After today, the total vote count in Harris County (Houston) is very nearly 720,000. That's 55% of the entire vote total in the county from 2016.

Also, TX-22 is a Congressional District that is mostly in Ft. Bend County but also in bits of Harris and Brazoria Counties. It voted +15% for Romney and +8% for Tweetie. The sitting GOP Rep used to win by 10-12 points regularly. He retired knowing the demographic and population growth in the county were not to his favor. He looks to have been correct.

The Dem candidate is named Sri Preston Kulkarni. He's a former Foreign Service officer who speaks English, Hindi, Mandarin, Russian and Hebrew. The GOP candidate is the Ft. Bend County sheriff.

The latest, best polling in the district has Kulkarni leading by 5. Biden leads by 9.

You are doing well sir. Good on you for your efforts (I assume you've been working the phones in your town/district?).

He'll rant about Antifa for the national security thing for sure.

Even his own cosplay military dress-up boy (i.e., lobbyist, tennis player), Chad Wolf, head of DHS, didn't mention Antifa once in his own DHS report; they do mention, quite prominently, white nationalists/supremicists as the major threat to the USA (and as you know, these groups are headed up by progressive, touchy-feely, all-inclusive atheist liberals--DERP). They also try to include some idiot language about immigrants to the USA, noting that "Although the majority of migrants do not pose a national security or public safety threat, pathways used by migrants to travel to the United States have been exploited by threat actors." Whatever that means. And by "majority" they mean far far far less than crimes committed by US citizens. But I hope the moderator reads this report.

Yes we are. We stopped our efforts in AZ and FL given we firmly believe TX is in play.

The tally for today was just released by Bexar County, where I mostly reside, and it was a record high with over 41,000 votes. Just under 600,000 voted here in 2016. After 7 days about 250,000 have voted here.

Such huge early turnout is largely the same in all the most populous and suburban counties across the state.

Now blow everyone's mind with a simple phonetic spelling of Bexar County. I lived in a tiny little town about 60 miles east of SA for a couple of years in high school.

English-speaking settlers screwed up quite a number of the Spanish names in Texas and there's no rhyme or reason to it. Bexar and Texas are good examples. Bexar should be BEH-har with the first "h" mute. Texas should be TEH-hass, again with the first "h" mute. Nope. You'd automatically be outed as a Yankee or maybe worse (if possible) with those pronunciations.

Texas you all know. The "x" is pronounced as in English. However, Bexar County is pronounced "Bear". As in grizzly or polar or Teddy.

In your experience, what is the actual response rate from people when doing the phone banks? I only ask because I personally don’t know that I’ve answered a call from a number I don’t recognize in ten years or more. From my perspective, getting out in the community and knocking on doors and talking face to face with people seems like a far better way to go about things, but obviously that’s not really safe to do right now. Was just curious how many people actually still pick up the phone and are willing to talk.

Never underestimate the ability of English speaking southerners to bastardize European pronunciations. I can think of two examples here. We have Louisville, TN, which is actually pronounced “Lewisville” and we have Milan, TN which is pronounced “My-lun”.

First, an update. Got confirmation that 62,000 mail votes have been received in Bexar County so the total number of votes is a bit over 310,000. That's about 55% of the total number of votes from 2016.

People still don't answer the phones at a great rate (I'd guess 1 in 3 or 4) but when you get them on the line they seem much more engaged in this election than in any I've experienced since 2008. Text responses are higher and often funnier or more rude (which can also be funny).

One of my faves is Manchaca (just outside of Austin). No one is really sure where the name came from. Is it derived from Choctaw or is it a bastardization of Tejano military leader Jose Menchaca? In any event, it is pronounced MAN-shack.

A Trumptard's take on another forum I post
Same tard, another gem

The mainstream media won't tell you, but the early voting results are heavily favoring the Republicans in all of the key areas. Normally the Democrats dominate the early voting and then the Republicans come out heavier on Election Day. Then, in many of the closest races the Democrats "find" enough votes after Election Day to steal victories where they can.

Not only is the early voting up for Republicans this year, but they are flat out leading the Democrats in so many key areas. Not just outpacing their own normal numbers, but actually leading. I've been saying this without wavering for the last 4 years, but 2020 is going to be a blood bath so great that the Democrats won't need to waste too much time "finding" votes later on. Watch the betting odds start to shift quickly and the pollsters, knowing their final predictions are due soon, will start to even out or start leaning toward Trump. They can only keep up the fake polling charade for so long before the truth must take over. The media is not just going to stop tomorrow or any day before Election Night and be like, "Okay, yeah, Trump has this." They will fake it all the way until the end. And then they will spend the next 4 years lying about everything, promoting hoaxes, and running fake news 24/7.

The truth always wins out, and good always finds a way to defeat evil in the long run.
