Oh no, they all do. The Tories are in power though and they've been the ones oppressing.

"Help, help, I'm being oppressed!" - the proletariat

The future will bring Dave's utopia somewhere, somehow, sometime. Eventually they'll get it right.

You'd purely melt down in situ if you were stuck over here, Dave.

Your faith is hard as a diamond. Respect, lid. I mean that.

Well they are ballsing up this election, thats for sure! That nonsense this morning about Milliband and his brother was just daft. Inaccurate, and stupid. Played.

Reckon that has played a huge part in the poll swing you posted earlier. People hate that sort of stuff now, so would have given Miliband a degree of sympathy. And he played it well in his response I thought.

Miliband is coming across pretty well imo. Keeping Balls under wraps is not the worst thing to do either.

Keeping Balls under wraps...

No industry, no reinvestment, abandoned town centres, high council taxes, brain drain, non-existent transport links...and yet...the most powerful men in the last Labour government?

All from here.

Trimdon, Hartlepool, Sedgefield.

Seems like they knew they would always get voted in, so why bother?

That's it exactly. It's something I explained the other day. Although UKIP is not an option I really want, they are the only possible victors in a battle with Labour up here. Nobody will ever vote Tory and the LibDems have never done brilliantly. UKIP though...they have a real kick at knocking Labour off their perch.

It's not the best option, of course it isn't...but if it shocks Labour to their core and finally provokes some form of investment in political dynamism up here then I am all for it.

They've stopped caring. Their complacency is insulting.

Almost like they are quite happy to keep folk as they are. No real incentive to actually act for their supporters.

Aspiration is a dirty word up here...

But it shouldnt be. See, thats what I dont understand about Labour sometimes. It is almost like they have a vested interest in people staying in their current situation because that way there is no way they would ever vote for anyone else. Well not the Tories anyrate.

Which dosent make sense I guess, but it is the only conclusion I can draw. That, or they are utterly incompetent and cant actually deliver the nirvana they seem to paint.

But I have some very well educated and successful mates who are paid up members of the Labour party, so that cant be right.

Weird.

The Tories are losing the argument the personal attacks on Miliband are not working as each day goes by people see them for what they are .

The nasty party.

The polls were taken before today.

It's defo the economy as far as I'm concerned. I didn't reckon on people being so nonplussed on the claims of an upturn. If that's the case then all bets are off for the Tories. I had them down as a knocker for being the largest single party, but that's in doubt now.

Long way to of course.

Thats the thing. Attacking Miliband is daft. He has no record to pull apart really. People know he is a bit of a policy wonk, but so what? It isnt liked by people, so why bother; it just makes you look desperate if thats the best you can come up with.

Surely you mean the "Heroic Warrior" ............
.
Agree it's daft but quite clever to lob Trident in to the fray to stir up English anxieties about the SNP & Nuclear deterrent.

Its pretty obvious one of the main strategies for the Tories in this election is to attack Miliband but everything they and the right wing press have said about him is just not stacking up and as you say people don't like to see personal attacks .

It really is desperate stuff from the Tories and people can see right through it.

lob Trident in to the fray

Surprised they havnt done that more imo. But the BBC have led all day with the personal attack on Ed, when Trident is actually quite important. And like you say, puts Labour on the spot.

And the SNP have never really explained why its an ace idea to lose 0000's of highly skilled jobs to pursue an idealogical agenda.
