I know it's only polls, but; the current polls suggest that even a CON/UKIP/LIB/DUP coalition wouldn't have the seats required to govern. Also, UKIP have ruled out coalition (I'll believe that when I see it). It's reassuring that UKIP are only projected to get 4 seats.

UKIP will jump at a coalition with the Tories. That isn't the issue - the reason it won't happen is because the Tories won't do it, for good reason.

UKIP only have a chance at propping up a minority government if they agree to a referendum on Europe. Again, the Tories won't take that.

They don't know it yet, but they had no chance of doing anything from the moment they were formed with the closet racism agenda. No mainstream party will touch them.

Are you for real? Do you understand what many of the refugees and migrants who use these services go through?

Please spare me the bleeding heart rhetoric. When did the UK become responsible for all of the worlds problems. We have enough of our own to deal with. If you want to assist them, go down there and do so, but until I get a vote on whether we should spend more on this I'd rather my money went to provide childcare provision........

That's not middle class, that's working class.
Fair enough. Oh and maybe I am going a bit too low with the turnout. Point is there are still millions who cannot be bothered getting their point across yet sit there and moan.

Well, I wont go into the depths of history, but perhaps just look at Greece. They have massive youth unemployment and their pensions are being cut. Now it can be argued that they were living above their means anyway, but putting that aside, for the people of Greece they would laugh at the suggestion that what we have in the UK is savage austerity.....

The thing is though that Greek austerity, as the 80s was over here, is about rebalancing an economy. The austerity we have here is intended to be permanent and is not about saving money (if it was, they wouldnt be replacing inexpensive sure start with more expensive firms paid "by results" (which in this case means paid more for worse results) on contract).

Well good luck because that's being cut too. Austerity is cruel.

Why is one called rebalancing an economy and the other called austerity. Countries, like households, should always be looking to balance the economy. The UK allowed itself to get into too much debt, now we have to find a way to address this......

I'm awfully sorry, I didn't realise you had to live through a period of history to have understanding about it. It's a good job all of our historians lived through World War 1.

So I'm assuming that you didn't, and this explains your complete lack of understanding. There are a few on here who did, and either view Thatcher as a saviour or a demented bitch, but at least have some personal experience to back it up......

Wait, someone is denying we're in a period of austerity???

What an odd thing to say. I mean, yeah, we're not "starving African children" levels of poverty but it's all relative obviously!
