What are these Hillsborough songs we're supposed to sing? DO they exist? HAVE they ever been heard to have been sung by (no doubt a minority of) Blues at the match?
Or is it all based on willful misinterpretation of the "It's never your fault..." chant by kopites?

The claim is that 'Murderers' and 'Always The Victim' & '[Phrase removed]' are about Hillsborough, there have previously been claims of Evertonians acting as if being crushed although no member of the Press has ever taken a picture of this happening, r/s claim that they are too disgusted to take a pic themselves.
It is all FALSE, the fact of the matter is that [Phrase removed] & Murderers is about Heysel (personally I'd rather we Jib both so as to not give them this opportunity) and Always the Victim is about how they are constantly wronged due to some Global Conspiracy.
It suits their agenda to make the claims that they do because there is a carpet in the Anfield Boardroom that has so much swept under it that it's becoming a ceiling covering.

Confirmed what I already thought. Cheers for that, Reidy. Just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something.
While i wouldnt critiise the gesture - i thought for the support we have shown and the extent of solidarity the gesture was very megre. More dissapointing, was the media blurbs from the likes of Gerrard, Rodgers, Carragher during the last week bascially talking about EFC as something they would scrape of their shoe and how unimportant we are in their big scheme things - it was the same again after the game, compleate disrespect bordering on hatred. You could even go back to the last derby at Goodison and Suarez, first chance he got he disrespected our manger after scoring - first derby game after the tribute our fans gave. Stinks of unappreciation and for me was a slap of the hand we have reached out to them at a time when they needed support, they dont get it. Not that its important but through the whole JFT96 enquiry last year there wasnt a better tribute anywhere then at Goodison that Monday night, we should be proud.
I will say this though, our actions have been classy and marked by a dignity you wouldnt see at any other club IMO - thats what it is to be an Evertonian, regardless of how they treat us or what they say in every sly dig, we proved what a real football club is - which is all that matters.

Great post. I'd give whoever came up with the "Thanks" idea the benefit of the doubt if they'd never been to Anfield and never seen how away fans react to that song being played. It made me think, immediately, of a decision made in a boardroom, with a grand idea that Evertonians would be awestruck at the beautiful gesture and would raise their scarves and start joining in with YNWA.
In reality, it looked like only one part of the stadium was even remotely arsed. The other three sides did nothing different to what they usually do before a game. I'd have preferred it if they'd made an actual effort and perhaps said thank you just before the teams came out and played "He ain't heavy" (or Z-Cars if they felt really generous) and raised the cards then. Then they could have done their usual YNWA entrance and got on with it. The reaction would have been completely different. In what world does singing YNWA at Evertonians constitute a f*cking show of gratitude? The club doesn't have a f*cking clue.

Well, they're the ones saying we're essentially taking the piss out of dead fans. One of their former players is making allegations against us.
