What puzzles me is why any creditor "owed tens of millions" would put the lockers on a multi million pound investment in the club.

Surely such an investment would increase their chances of getting their dough back.

I believe they felt £150 mill wasn't enough and gave away to much control. The break down of the deal, was £100 mill for the stadium and £50 mill working capital - they felt the business needs more then £50 mill working capital or that sum was to small for 25% control (our wage bill is approx 15 mill a month)- they may have just didnt like what MSP would bring to table either - they are all about just getting their money back or charging 12%i interest - that's the only show in town for them, they dont care a jot about Everton beyond their ability to get their money back. Then i believe there was an issue around security, we tried to secure the investment around security we had given already to R&M funding.

I don't know how many of the posters in this thread have a background in corporate finance. I certainly don't know enough to make a meaningful comment either way, but I am sick of reading about the Club's parlous state. It just feels like a pile-on, with numerous threads all pretty much saying the same thing ad nauseam.

I really hope the team finds some form to distract us from this purgatory.

Whole thing to me smacks of another Kenwright power play. Moshiri is Paul Greg, has some money but is bening f*ed over at every turn by Kenwrigbt and his pals. Kenwright knows stuff about Moshiri/Usmanov, hence why hes kept himself sticking around.

For all the hate for Moshiri, i think hes been played.

Completely divorced themselves from how we got ourselves in that position, talking about the situation as if it’s just arrived on us.

You would think a director has some responsibility, otherwise why pay them? And indeed paid the off to leave.

Whoever that is we are better off without them.

Sounds like we’re
It just says it was an ‘executive’ - it doesn’t have to have been a director for those quotes

None of the ex directors would have talked...they probably signed nda in exchange for a substantial compensation. Whilst we don't have much cash that is obviously true, not so sure that our debt is so so bad compare to most other premier league clubs.
So that rules out Keith Wyness, he has already been paid off to keep his mouth shut.
