81% chance you are absolutely right

and a 19% chance I'm probably right.

It was only a matter of time before the ‘Team Vitor’ drums started beating. A saviour in EFC’s time of crisis? I’m not sure...but once the ‘Team Vitor’ express gets a head of steam, there is no force on this planet that can derail it.
All hail our next overlord...cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war!!

Haven’t checked other betting sites, only skybet and we all know how that works.
He was 4/9 ladt night now he’s back out to 2/1 and Moyes is favourite again at slight odds on.
When Moyes went out to 5/1 a few days ago.

If pereira was on the verge of getting the job, he wouldn’t be 2/1. The bookies like sky and rest of the media, haven’t a clue what’s going on.

The thing with modern Everton is just when something seems like a sure thing something totally different comes out of the blue and is signed, sealed and delivered pretty rapidly. I’d expect (hope) this to happen here

I’m not advocating him btw...

BUT how on earth can anyone say he’s not good enough?! NONE of us know this. NONE of us are educated/ knowledgable enough on this guy to make such assumptions.

Just because he’s from Portugal and currently managing in China are not reasons to state he’s not good enough.

Looking at the list of clubs he’s managed on Wiki doesn’t mean he’s not good enough!

Look at Potter at Brighton for instance. I bet if you looked at his record on paper you’d of thought the same. He’s doing a good job at Brighton.

Again, I’m not saying Pereira is us our saviour, but I’m certainly not qualified enough to deem him ‘not good enough’ either, and neither are any of you.

Potter had worked in English football before at Swansea (I know they are Welsh before anyone says :)) so while he may never of been in the PL he had been in the hardness of the championship and knew about English football.

this is a young manager who went to China, clearly not for the standard of league out there but probably the money, has only managed in poor leagues and a half decent clubs in that league. The one time he managed in a good league he last four to five months and got sacked and the team went down...granted after he left.

while I totally agree if he does come on we should give him our full support and not jump on him at the first sign of problems, I would expect our fans should be worried about his appointment due to the above, anything else would be blind faith.

I’m not an expert on him at all but his CV isn’t very convincing.

Contract mutually terminated at Olympiakos and fenerbache and then got 1860 Munich relegated....you can’t blame people for not being very enthused by that.

Potter on the other hand, whilst he was managing at a lower level in Sweden he did a very good job with his team. Took them from Swedish 4th division to being in Europa league, you can’t compare the two at all

i agree with this, what did Poch do before they said he was a good coach, absolutely nothing, he had a 38% win ration a Southampton and a 33% win ratio with Espanyol, thats all of his career. all of it, no he suddenly is in the top 10

If we get this fella in as manager then Moshiri is deffo doing some dodgy money launderingtype scam, it will be clear he is getting dud managers on purpose.
It’s the same as the old pizza shops and beauty shops popping up on every corner and then getting re-opened every few months with a new name and a re-fit.

but that was Southampton a club who had recently only just come up.

an more established club like Spurs only took him once he had done well at Southampton.

....having to have a chippy tea ourselves tonight, they are putting new pipes in our area and we’ve got no gas at the moment.

i get where you coming from, but Spurs still took a risk, and it worked out. we took a risk and it blew up in our face, Chelsea took a risk with frank and its kinda going ok i guess,

same with players,

who knows what happens, it may make sense on paper like Unai to Arsenal, but failed hard. i think most of these foreign appointments (other than stellar talent) is hit and miss, and you never know.

To be honest I am not convinced by this fella although I confess I don't know enough about him, only what I have read, but to me this Gallardo for me looks a better prospect, but I have to admit again I don't know a lot about him either. I just think with his record of winning and from a big club and his knowledge of the south American players for future possible recruitment he may be a abetter fit.
