Team of The Decade

Good team.

Just two change for me.....Tim Howard before his decline was way better than Pickford IMO.

And Timmy Cahill has to be there....ahead of Gana if need be :)
Not sure this decade saw the best of Cahill, I think Fellaini over Barkley, and Delofeu???? He played about seven 90 minutes for Everton in one decent season and one atrocious one, both times he disappeared at the end.

In terms of a players from the last decade that I'd be really excited to watch (assuming all of these were at their best)

Howard
Coleman
Jagielka
Distin
Baines (could go Digne but Baines for length)

Arteta
Barry
Gueye

Richarlison
Lukaku
Mirallas

Subs:

Saha
Pienaar
Digne
Pickford
Cahill
Lescott

Manager Martinez

Captain Baines or Jagileka*

*Just to annoy @davek
What do you know that we don't?

Howard
Coleman Jagielka Stones Baines
Mirallas Gueye Pienaar
Fellaini
Richarlison Lukaku

Subs; Pickford, Distin, Digne, Barry, Arteta, Saha, Barkley.

Cahill and Arteta would easily get into my team of the decade 2000-2009, but considering Arteta was barely here this decade and Cahill was mostly crap this decade, they don't make my starting XI, ditto Saha. Mirallas might be a controversial one, but he was very good in Moyes' last season / Roberto's first.

Spot on, Cahill is a Everton legend but the previous decade, unsure on mirallas too

Rooney????

Yep - Played 31 premier games for us - the same as Arteta. We might not have got the very best from him, but we didn't really get the best from Arteta, or Pienaar either (this decade). So if we are going on how good the guy is at his best, he was one of the best players to have ever pulled on a blue shirt. Although to be honest, he was still decent in flashes, for that one season he came back.
