If you are talking about what is the biggest club overall then Villa should be higher, along with Celtic and Rangers. Man city should be lower. (just look at the all time PL table)

We should be above Spurs, 9 league titles and 5 FA cups beats 8 FA cups and 2 league titles.

If it is what is the biggest club weighted with what pull they have at the moment then it's probably right.

I was watching some young lads play football in the south of France last year while waiting for my missus to come out of a shop. The only PL football shirts I seen were City and Chelsea.

There's no question that City and Chelsea are more 'global' brands than us. I've never seen an Everton shirt worn by a kid on the continent unless they're over on holiday from UK/Ireland. Spurs are closer to our level at the moment.

They aren't talking about who's a bigger brand. They are stating who are the biggest football clubs.

I know it's UK based, but with regards to branding Leipzig and NYRB's are 'bigger' than Everton.

Everton are a massive English football club with a good history.

Football is on its arse.

The problem with this debate is that it can change so easily over time and people aren't consistent in their arguments. For example, i'd say Spurs, Chelsea and City are bigger than us at this moment, but overall City certainly aren't. But I don't see why that is never applied to the RS. No titles in almost 30 years and have played in a Stadium far smaller than Arsenal for ages now. If we're no longer deemed that big a club, well then they are well behind Arsenal and Chelsea at this moment in my opinion.

The 3 biggest for me are United, Liverpool and Arsenal. The next tier down would have Chelsea, City, Spurs, ourselves and Villa in it. Don't care that they're in the second tier, Aston Villa are a huge club and very similar in size to us. After that you've got Newcastle, Leeds and Sunderland and then out on their own in 12th are West Ham. West Ham are a bit of a special case because they have certain things that make them a very big club - Huge stadium and reasonably sized fanbase, currently averaging well over 50,000 and have won a Cup Winners Cup. Yet they've never won the League.

Don't forget the world cup.

In the UK yes

Doubtful in terms of worldwide fanbase though. Don’t get me wrong... I’m not saying stoke have tons of fans around the world but you can’t underestimate just how big being in the premier league for the past ten years has been. It’s now the biggest sports league in the world by a huge distance. These past 10 years have been the biggest period of growth English football has seen and Leeds have completely missed out on it.

Stoke will have picked up a ton of fans around the world just from competing in it during this time.

Sorry mate, no comparison between Leeds and Stoke, Leeds are one of the great English clubs, nothing special about Stoke is there? I know it counts for nothing but if they hadn't been cheated in the 75 European Cup Final against Bayern they would have become only the 2nd English club to win the trophy. Do you remember that game? The biggest travesty in football ever (bar none). At the time I was 12 I couldn't stand them but was gutted that night.
