Might I answer this on his behalf dave ?

A retired wealthy pensioner with hard right Thatcherite views who spends all of his time either in a pub or posting on a current affairs forum bickering with and being condescending to people, 95/% of whom are diametrically opposed to his viewpoint, trolling, trying to wind others up, and who resorts to bullying people he dislikes.

That just about sums him up.

Hahahahaha......Are you still upset.......

Fetch it on Putin after all we have not cut our military capabilities back we are not as strong as we were before WW2 (joke)
What happened is just a gesture, but I am sure Jezza would have talked Putin to death as a comerade and a pacifier!

So which is it? You’d have hoped the two defense departments could at least co-ordinate on what the messaging was.

TBH it probably comes down to what "warned" means. I am sure they were told what would happen, and were probably told where it would happen; of course to be properly warned they'd have to be told when it would happen as well, which they might not have been in exact terms.

Plus of course the Yanks have a reason to try and conceal the absurd nature of this raid, in which they lowered the worlds' most powerful and capable military to the level of this gesture-bombing.

Whether it was the C-in-C or their allies that got them into that situation is something as yet unknown, but I doubt they will forget it anytime soon.

I see the U.N. threw out tonight’s resolution from Russia, backed only by Russia, Bolivia and China.......although it is expected that Russia will claim it was passed unanimously.......

They did enough to send a message to Russia, Syria, Iran, North Korea and China. To have done nothing would have emboldened them, to have done more would have the Corbyn’s of this world making trouble. They did just enough, and with the absolute clear and unambiguous statement that if more chemicals are deployed it will happen again.......

What message have we sent? If you want to blow up civilians, only use normal high explosives?

@peteblue stands his ground and debates with you and that is to be respected. You may disagree politically but at least he expains his position.

@Old Blue 2 just gets angry and disappears when he’s out of his depth.
