Never really been too bothered about this competition, but I am alarmed at the developing pattern of dreadful defending and lack of tempo.
Whatever happens in the next 45 minutes the big questions for me are about what we do in the next 2 league fixtures. Neither of the sides we face have looked convincing and seem to be having similar issues. Lose both heavily and Roberto will come under pressure like he has never seen. Shame as I desperately want him to succeed, but this is a results business and a cut throat one too.

But we cant judge Martinez on the next three games, its just unlucky we're meeting these teams in our poor patch, its fickle to behave like this. Man u and the rs have spend millions so both will be hard games even if we were in form, lets judge him at the end of the season and not put unnecessary pressure on the team and Martinez.

Vast majority of football fans have no patience and can't see beyond the recent games, the game coming up.

Also Besic has done alright apart from two or three mistakes. If you can't spot he is going to be a very good player I despair.
