Forgot Garbutt to be fair.

I hope he forgets this game though.

hopefully just like coleman who had a terrible European debut at left back which probably would off sunk some players he'll put it behind him forget it and move onwards and upwards, in 3 years we could have the 2 best full-backs in world football.

It does need sorting though. Defence is week but not because we didn't sign anybody - because it's always tricky to get the balance right in defence. Its because of individual errors from experienced players. All 3 of Swansea's goals were a result of that. We're not playing as a team atm - ergo we have no confidence

we cant expect the lads to play three times in one week, he has to rotate and you would be fuming if Baines or Mirallas got injured tonight, players should have used tonight to make a claim for the derby, they didn't, well they were let down by the two experience players, Hibbert and Distin, we were still in the game until Distin lost his head again, and that not Martinez head, he done this under Moyes at Wembley, he a liability and Martinez needs to learn this quick and stick with Jags and Stones until the window opens.

I'm not expecting them to play three games in a week - I'm just not expecting Mirallas & Naismith to play 1 in 3, which is what the case will be if they start in the derby. That's not good enough - if they weren't going to be used in this game, they should have been used against Palace.

As it stands, two terrible results in a row with both of our form players missing both for no reason.

We must trust Martinez and stick with him. But that won't exempt him from criticism.
Criticism for two baffling team selections in the last three days; criticism for his total inability to get the defence sorted and criticism for his poor signings. Only Barry and McCarthy have proved themselves so far.

And by the way - why do professional footballers find it impossible to play more than two hours football in a week?

I like Cats. And that was really really poor. Need people to stand up, take responsibility and say it isn't good enough.
From the manager and the senior players I expect to see it sorted out.

Defence mistakes again from players, Hibbo showing why he is finished in the top flight and a general lack of cohesion in our play.
I'm all for positive support and the building up of players by the manager, but the basics weren't even met and the manager needs to get on to the players and say we are Everton and this is just not good enough. You aren't only letting down me and the team but also the fans and you owe it to them to sort it out.

Can you honestly say Martinez has it in him to give someone a b*ll*cking? Now we have Big Dunc, i hope he is getting some say.

It would be the stupidest thing we could possibly do.
I'm not saying do it now, Martinez has been a breath of fresh air into this club BUT if he cannot learn from these defensive mistakes then how do you suppose we carry on mate? I'm seriously worried, I thought it would pass and he would sort the defence out but when we seemed to have settled down with Stones at CB against West Brom and Wolfsburg he then goes and shifts him out to RB! The player who replaced him at CB has now conceded 6 in two games.

Its almost like our players are trying to out do each other error wise, who has not made one yet will no doubt make one on saturday,we play Swansea at home on the saturday a few days after the next round of this comp

"well, I thought we were magnificent in periods of that game. Really kept possession well and looked a threat. But we never got the goal I thought our play deserved and were unfortunate to concede a goal that was against the run of play. But I am really, really proud of the players. It was not the result we wanted, but we can take a lot of positives out of the game"
