We've not played well the last two games but I don't see a 2004/2005 style implosion coming in the second half of the season.
Let's hope the second half is more of an 84/85 title charge

Another away game with no yellows RM has us playing good football with self control
I honestly think Southampton will be difficult just because they haven't won in 5 or something.
I'm with you mate...who's the referee?
Interesting detail, this. Can't help but think that it's a specific point being drilled into the team by Martinez... we have a small squad and injuries are starting to bite, so losing anybody to suspensions at the moment would be a major problem. Really pleased to see that this appears to have been taken into account.
Let's not forget lids we only got CL in 2004/5 because certain other teams massively underperformed and we just about did enough in the first half of the season to scrape fourth.
Don't want us all getting carried away. We'll need to beat two of Arsenal/City/Chelsea/RS/United to make it into the CL, which is an absolutely huge ask. And that's not taking Spurs into account who, if they pick up form, are a danger too.
We're looking good, but injuries could de-rail our season at any time. Let's just hope we continue playing well and, more importantly, keeping up this habit of getting the points on off days. Fingers are crossed.
Was an added bonus to avoid cards for Barry, Barkley and Howard again.
