Boss preview as always. Everton win by three pure flukes and a 30 yard screamer from an unexpected source. My Christmas socks always come from marks & sparks so no need to match up logo's.

Lets go out there and keep the same standards that we set in the last two away games.
3 points here would be massive, just massive.

win this, and if results elsewhere fall our way, we could be just 1 or 2 points off the lead in the PL title race. The sense of belief and expectation would be cranked up to fever pitch.

Brilliant preview Chico. Nice work.

Agree on so much in there, and absolutely loving what is happening with the football at the moment.

We are Everton through thick and thin. Like you say, if it falls apart it falls apart, but Martinez has shown something special. He took a punt on Barry, McCarthy and Barkley, the Spanish kid, and injected life into players we already had.

Here's the lineup from Moyes' last game.

24 Howard
03 Baines
06 Jagielka
15 Distin
23 Coleman
04 Gibson
22 Pienaar
25 Fellaini Booked
11 Mirallas
14 Naismith (Jelavic - 66' )
28 Anichebe (Heitinga - 66' Booked )

And now the Martinez team that beat United at Old Trafford.

24 Howard
23 Coleman
08 Oviedo
16 McCarthy
06 Jagielka
15 Distin
11 Mirallas (Naismith - 92' )
18 Barry
17 Lukaku
20 Barkley (Deulofeu - 69' )
22 Pienaar (Osman - 80' )

It's nuts really.

Come on you blue shirted heroes!!!

Great read Chico. I don't know why but I felt a lot more nervous about the Fulham game, even though in my opinion Swansea are a much better side than Fulham. Del Boy is a massive blow but we have McCarthy back.

I've got a really good feeling we are going to put on another arsenal style like performance with our midfield running the show. A comfortable 2-0 win. 0-0 at half time with us having most of the possession with hardly any clear cut chances, then second half we come out, play sexy football and finger them as we also score our first penalty of the season. We seem to do well when we are live. Let's once again show the country that the School of Science is back. COYB!

Iterating what a lot more articulate posters than myself have written ; great preview Chico (as always). I was, up until learning of Swansea's injury toll, contemplating a draw at the Liberty, but am now quietly confident of a Blues win.
So there you have it...we lose 2-1
(only kidding...3-1 Blues)

off topic: Ratboy has just signed a 4 year deal. Wonder if Baines is considering something similar?
