Good stuff as usual.

Feel more confident of this game than the Fulham one to be honest. Swansea I think will let us play rather than attempt to negate us. If we're on form could be bad news for them. Lets hope so!

BBC's head to head: Some interesting ones this week.

Head-to-head

  • Swansea have failed to win any of their 17 league and cup games against Everton (D5, L12).
  • The Swans have failed to score in the four previous Premier League meetings between the sides (D1, L3).
  • Roberto Martinez has failed to win his four previous Premier League games against Swansea (D1, L3).
Swansea City

  • Swansea have lost just once in their last six Premier League games (W2, D3).
  • They have failed to win the last six top-flight matches they have played on a Sunday (D3, L3).
  • The Swans have had more possession than their opponents in all eight of their Premier League home games this season, but have won just 10 points from a possible 24 (W2 D4 L2) at the Liberty Stadium.
  • Michu has failed to score in his last seven Premier League appearances - his longest drought since joining Swansea.
Everton

  • Seamus Coleman's goal last weekend means Everton defenders have contributed seven Premier League goals this season - a division high, prior to this weekend.
  • The Toffees have lost just one of their 16 Premier League games this season. In the top five European leagues, only Bayern Munich and AS Roma have better records.
  • They have lost seven points from winning positions this season. Prior to this weekend, only Manchester City (eight) and Sunderland (11) had worse records.
  • They are one of three clubs yet to win a Premier League penalty this season, along with Newcastle and Cardiff.

Always love reading your previews Chico, but I think that was my favourite one so far this season (y)

The team and our fans are full of confidence with this fixture, and rightly so, but I have a niggly feeling that we'll draw here. Would love to be proven wrong though.

7 points over the next 3 games would be fantastic, and is definitly achievable.

If we make the CL, some of you crazy traveling types should go to Roberto's hometown and hang some Everton flags from this bridge...

Thats just up the road. If he wins us the league I'll call it a pilgrimage!

Great write up as always Chico.

2-1 Everton

Time for ROM to find the back the net over this festive period.

They have a more than a few key players out so I expect us to take advanatge of that gift.

Tough test going to The Liberty, they can play some nice football but hopefully the boys in blue will be too much for them. 2-1 to the Toffees!! :D

They will have 87% possession and Michu will score a nicely curled effort with his left foot. Tim Howard will do his 'calm it down' gesture and then slice the ball out of play for a throw in. Romelu will fail to get on the end of a cross and then spend the next four minutes analysing what was wrong with his positioning rather than engaging with the actual game.

Fortunately Oviedo and Coleman will go mental, stutter and shuffle through their entire team and somehow win us the game so it's alright.

HIS NAME WAS CHICO, HE WROTE SOME PREVIEWS

The tall bloke in the centre / back-row of the 1912 photo looks like Michael Rennie (The Day The Earth Stood Still).

Just heard from a Swansea fan that the South Wales Evening Post is reporting that Michu may be out on Sunday (apparently needs an urgent ankle op).
