Suspensions a blessing in disguise?

depending on the outcome of qpr v wigan next week, we could be looking at a very offensive qpr team at goodison park

not going to be easy

they play wigan who are 6 points above them out of the relegation zone next week, 3 points difference with 6 games to play, could still happen

I've heard some weird theories on here but two of our best players suspended for a game against a top team being a blessing is definitely near the top of the list.

Fellaini and Pienaar will have had 4 weeks off from Everton duty when they're next available to play against QPR on 13th April. Fella did play the full 90 minutes for Belgium away in Macedonia but only came on as a last-minute sub for the return game. Given that they've both played 33 games in all competitions so far this season, it could have been a timely opportunity for the pair to recharge their batteries ready for the final push.

The other blessing might be that Moyes has decided to play with wing-backs in their absence. Anything that makes us a bit less predictable has got to be a positive and maybe he wouldn't have attempted it if everybody was available. The switch could potentially give both Heitinga and Duffy hope that they have a future at the club.

And finally, as often happens with our small squad, when we lose key men the responsibility falls on to somebody else and they generally rise to the challenge. In the past it has been Osman but this time it looks like Mirallas has seized the initiative to be our spark.

I thought Pienaar was only banned for 1 game?

To be fair, at least Pienaar hadn't been playing well before his suspension. Could've been rustiness/fatigue. In his case may be a blessing that he rests a bit.
