We get to 40 points first. Then we see what is possible. What the hell is wrong with saying that at this stage, given that we've only got 20 points at the moment ? Massive over-reaction (again).

Laughing.

See that?

See it?

Thats just a few who have ran this story - on the merit of the Everton manager airing relegation concerns.

Want to write to them all telling asking why they've ran the story?

On the back of saying the target is to avoid relegation, he mentions how he doesn't have confidence in his players to back up any positivity he can muster on the back of a home win at Swansea.

I am (am, quickly becoming 'was') one of his biggest fans, but his attitude this season stinks.

It's little wonder we look devoid of confidence in the final third when the manager is telling the press before hand that he doesn't expect us to score.

So over reaction?

No mate. This is an an Everton forum, discussing the current top story concerning concerning Everton from the Everton manager.

The point is a very valid one.

He's an odd unit is Moyes, I certainly wouldn't be inspired by his latest outpourings as a player. If I was a striker (two of whom already have fallen out with him this season) I'd be thinking "cheeky mo'fo - not scoring goals has nothing to do with our tactics, lack of chances created and the way you use me?"

You could argue that maybe he is trying reverse psychology to make the forwards prove him wrong, but I'm not sure that it'll work. As for the relegation comments, well, probably trying to avoid making false promises, but some positivity wouldn't go amiss. Something like "we know we've got to look over our shoulders, but we need to fight for as many points as possible and kick on up the table from now on. That's what I'll be demanding from the players". Maybe gates would be over 32,000 with less gloom from the boss...

Laughing.

Ridiculous.

Google Moyes and Relegation.

Same old, same old.

Sensible, subtle, strategic digs? Biding his time? Behave.

Scottish managers are always doing strategic digs... Except maybe Graeme Souness and Owen Coyle who are as bout as subtle as Chico in the Lisbon.

Behave indeed.

Shaping the battlefield lids. Shaping the battlefield.

That would be fine if this was the first time this season that Moyes has said such a thing. He was talking about a relegation battle months ago when the season had barely even started.

We should not even be talking about relegation with the squad we have. FACT.

I believe he was referring to the fact that you said Osman scored against QPR. It's rather amusing that you would get such a simple fact wrong as you love to point out the 'vaults' so much.

I've been out on the piss yesterday so its no surprise. But I still recall Saturday when some individuals were ****ging Osman off. To hell and back.

It's certainly got your goat anyway by the sound of it.

Moyes said: 'I can only look at our games and I am only looking to - first of all - get 40 points.
'Once I have got 40 points I will see what I can do after that.

That's what he said. The media can sensationalise it as much as they want to, but it is nothing out of the ordinary.

Can't see what you and others are getting so upset about, given the position the club is in at the moment (which is likely to improve in January). That's why I see it as an over-reaction. Chill out a bit.

Exactly this. Exactly. Its like some are looking for things to have a pop about.

Scots aren't a race they're a nationality.
