It's the Android version. Doesn't seem to work well with xenforo. it's like a memory leak, starts off ok but the longer it's left the slower it gets. Slow rendering of pages (especially when scrolling), delayed typing/mistyping through the text jumping around, then there is the weird issue with misreporting timestamps of posts/reactions.

Force closing the app seems to improve things for a while, but then it goes back to a crawl.

Phone is a good spec so I know that isn't the issue. Just Firefox doing Firefox things.

Seems OK for me too on Firefox Android from a quick glance, but it has definitely been slower in the past. I recall someone shared a link which said it was a common issue with Firefox on forums - I'll browse a bit with it later an see if there's anything I can do.

Mine was like that up until yesterday morning. Now I get this every 7th click.

Ublock and Ghostery definitely still whitelisted.

Why would you have both ublock and Ghostery?

Pretty certain the issue is Ghostery - they've had a recent update;

... and it's known for being a pain. It still blocks site functionality. Here's what AI says;

... The site works, but when people run multiple add ons, with their purpose to block site functionality, things will/do inevitable break. There's a trade off when scripts etc are blocked.

Yeah you are probably right about using both. Just have done for years really due to being overly cautious about privacy. I will disable Ghostery and tell you what happens.

Still does it even if you disable both Ublock and Ghostery so it has to be either another addon (which i don’t think it is because i have checked but will check again) or a firefox setting that has been changed.

It is definitely Firefox enhanced tracking protection. I will have to play about with various settings in that to see if i can find a balance.

Still doing it with Ghostery switched off unfortunately.

If Ghostery didn't resolve it, my next suggestion would be it's something else other than browser add ons.

My guess would now would be something on your network blocking, or anti virus. Irony is the forum/me can't actually see your adblocking, so its something before the system can even check. You can check your adblocking status on here an it shows clear;

Did wonder about that but I have that enabled and no issue.

This is firefox with ublock, you'll see it shows every 7 pages, but after trusted site, it doesnt;

Strange that isn't it. I am setup exactly the same as you are with the enhanced protection and the site listed in the ublock trusted sites. Have even added an exception for the site in firefox too but still doing it. Definitely not another addon as i have double checked them all. The only way the popup stops currently is when i turn off enhanced protection altogether. Been installed for many years this firefox so could have a lot of dead wood in it. Will carry on playing with the settings though and will report back if i crack it.

Thanks, likewise here.

Well its fixed even if it was by a somewhat weird method. :lol:

I went into Firefox Enhanced Privacy Settings, Custom and unticked the boxes, reloaded the tabs and then ticked the boxes again and the popup has stopped. All i can think is that something must have been jammed or bottlenecked somewhere after a recent update.

Might be useful info for someone else at some point anyway. 👍
