I think they are doomed to oblivion. Massive debts as a PL club, let alone a Div 3, in old money. Players on contracts that will dwarf anyone in that league, but poor players.

Nothing to sell, of note. Owner utterly arsed.

If they can offload the high earners, fees being irrelevant, they have a chink of light. If not, and Short wont shoulder the burden, (would you?), where next?

That summary will cheer them up no end roydo! How about they just take a CVA and start a new co. :)

I don't really understand the animosity towards them by some on here but each to there own.
Having recently read the book "Short Changed " which basically covers the years since the ground move it seems to me that every time they seemed to be making progress the wheels just came off.
I hope they find there way back but it looks like a club that is in terminal decline and the only answer is folding the club and starting from scratch.

Yeah because Citeh, Leicester and Southampton have shown that’s the way to go.

Sorry mate I don't understand your reply
‘looks like a club that is in terminal decline and the only answer is folding the club and starting from scratch.’

It’s a club that’s gone down two divisions because the recruitment hasn’t been good enough for years. Picking up our sloppy seconds wasn’t going to help anyone . Not exactly a disaster. By your logic, City shouldn’t exist anymore because they followed the same path.

Far enough mate but the difference is Sunderland have a owner who wants out but can't give the club away, also they are committed to paying the likes of Rodwell £80,000 a week.
Financialy the club is in [Poor language removed] street
