Edin Dzeko is an interesting one. Is having a tremendous season for Wolfsburg. Would like him at Everton, but for 12m, I'm not sure. Would prefer a loan deal first, to see if he can handle the Premiership.

Why can't they get their facts straight? Lescott is a £15m player on a cheap day. Quoting £10m just shows the journalist up as out of touch.

Height 1.74 m (5 ft 8+1⁄2 in) Daniel Aquino Pintos, No Thanks.

*Edit, didnt realise he was only 18 and could play on the wing as well, SIGN HIM DAVEY!!!!!

Lescott £10m, Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahaha.

That Milan fella has already said we are ****, so he wont be coming.

And Owen? No Thanks.

NOTW and Kipper, not really the best sources in the world.

A fit Owen would be great, but he's another Saha waiting to happen.

Plus he's done the dirty on both Liverpool and Newcastle. Not a great advert for team player at Everton.

I agree nebolid. Hes got the talent, but i think anybody that we look at buying in the Summer cant be a risk. We have players like Saha, Vaughan who only have to fart and get injured and we will have Arteta and the Yak coming back from huge injurys. We need solid injury free players.

He ripped us apart when we played them, but it was a very poor 2 games from us against them.
As I said, he can be a very good player on his day. He comes across as a bit of a prima donna to me though. Thinks the world of himself and doesn't live up to that status often enough. There are a few Standard players, I'd like to see at Everton (Witzel and Defour), but I just don't rate Jovanovic.

Agreed. I'd take him on £20k a week, which he'd laugh at. He can go and play for Spurs where he can compete with the rest of their overpaid strikers.

Agree on the Owen part. If we sign a striker, he shouldn't be as injury prone as Owen. With Saha and Vaughan on our books, we have experienced enough trouble as it is. Also we'll have to wait and see how Yakubu recovers from his injury.

Id sign Owen in a heartbeat!

Yakubu
Owen
Saha
Vaghan = Moyes out! :lol:
It's not that I don't rate Owen. Think he's a very good player, but he's too big a risk considering the injury prone strikers on our books already. If we get another striker though and move Vaughan out on loan, I'd have no problems with signing Owen.

There's no doubting that on his day, he's one of the most effective strikers in the country. But we can't be sure when his "day" actually will be. Considering he's been on £100k a week at the Geordies, there is no way that he would fit into the sort of pay structure that he is actually worth.

You've got a point there. Would have to be on our terms if he signed. Don't think he's willing to accept £70.000 a week drop in wages, so move on.
