I believe so , maybe he's watched too many arsenal games from the sidelines while injured , I watched them play Fulham once and I nodded off mid match, such a slog

Not sure about his quality. Defensively Burnley were pretty poor all season (same in midfield & attack) and he was part and parcel of that. Certainly did not shine when they played in front of the live cameras.

Like him if I’m honest mate, he’s very competent on the ball, technically decent and despite Burnley being rank over all he’s been one of their better quality performers and he has a bit of headroom. Watched a few times as we’ve been linked for a few years.

Anytime I’ve seen him he’s played left
sided to, which we could do with after the year we had with Branthwaite. 5 centre backs may be a bit of overkill though.

He scored some important goals for us and as I said did well to block channels and break up opposition midfield rhythm. As someone else posted his passing was pretty poor but overall was a productive player. However unfashionable his type of player is there is a place for them.

There is 0 place in the modern game for players like doucoure and is a large part of the reason we were as bad as we were.

He was a runner who could score the odd goal, not a footballer.

He made us worse as a football team every time he stepped on the pitch and only limited football managers with limited/negative tactics would even entertain him playing week in week out.

I think both are here next season, whether Grealish on a loan or a permanent I dont see a big fee. Grealish & George to come in and join Ndiaye & Dibling to complete the wide options.

Then the focus must be on full backs.



In principal yes, though I think KDH's best games for us were when used alongside Garner as an 8.

In that advanced midfield role (which we may as well loosely call a 10), we've got a decent return of goals and assists out of him and he's somewhat in between a Doucoure and a true 10 in terms of profile.

If we had him at 8 though with a true 10 (think Bruno Fernandes level) to link with...that could be a gamechanger.

Oh I prefer KDH deeper, id accept him in the 10 though if it means no Doucoure.

Hopefully the next manager (whenever that will be) will drop kdh deeper

JT signed a new three year deal in Oct mate. Which leaves O Brien - who surely won’t be playing right back next year, surely……..

Two of those centre backs are absolute mince though and one is unproven in the premier league.
