I see there are some links to Osula on twitter, always strikes me as a player who gets misused by Howe yet seems decent.

Think we were interested before he went there as well mate or else I’m making that up.

That's depressing. He's horrendously slow and lacking physicality/reaction speed even now. I dread to think where he will be in two years. Sylvain Distin he aint.

Don't you know mate, we keep players until they're "a part of the furniture", then keep most of the British ones employed in the background until well into their 50s in some sort of ridiculous ambassadorial roles.

Furniture is quicker on the turn than Keane and Tawkoski.

There is 0 place in the modern game for players like doucoure and is a large part of the reason we were as bad as we were.

He was a runner who could score the odd goal, not a footballer.

He made us worse as a football team every time he stepped on the pitch and only limited football managers with limited/negative tactics would even entertain him playing week in week out.

And yet he played a major part in keeping us up under Dyche and the huge improvement in form under Moyes. In fact...

If we sign a centre back then we seriously have to consider our decision making process's.

Two have recently got new deals. One is one of the clubs best players and people can say O'Brien is inexperienced but he's played 54 PL games as a defender - proabably his best being at centre half, won a trophy abroad and is an experienced international.

Part of the reason we nearly went to the wall was making bad decisions' on players - and trying to fix that by building another layer of players in the same positions, wasting money and having nearly a third of 30-40+ man squad out on loan paying their wages.

There has to be a limit - throwing 100k a week at a Stones - not for me.

Haven't we had one of the best defensive records in the league past few years........can think of a million ways to better invest and other priorities in the squad.

He is decent. Strong, quick, a grafter and an eye for goal. Gave Lacroix a right battle at Selhurst recently. Would be an upgrade at Everton.
