Summer transfer window.

So, here we go guys:

Based on our squad and the display against Brighton, i sincerely hope, that we shift formation playing with wingbacks and utilising our brilliant back three. Could look like this - and this is just ideas floating around:

Formation: 3-4-3

Barry

(George)

N’Diaye Dibling
(Armstrong) (Alcaraz)

Garner Dewsbury-Hall
(Iroegbunam) (Gana)

Digne Norton-Cuffy
(Aznou) (Patterson)

Branthwaite Tarkowski O’Brien
(Mykolenko) (Keane) (Backup)

Pickford
(Travers)

Ins:
- Backup to O'Brien at right central side
- A shrewd move on Lucas Digne, since he has lost his place to Maatsen and is a hero at our club; brilliant for Aznou having him and Baines at the club
- Norton Cuffy; a specialist at right wing back, utilising his athletism, speed, and dribling and being covered from O'Brien from most defensive duties
- Preferably a new attacking option - either a offensive midfielder or a striker (since George can play both roles)

Outs:
- Coleman: It's time, my beloved friend. Welcome to the staff-team.
- Grealish: Sorry, mate. You are brilliant, but way to expensive. Perhaps another loan, which i would love.
- Röhl: Meh-meh.
- McNeil: Thanks for playing a huge role in a difficult period for the club
- Beto: Thanks for your heart and dedication. It's time to move on.

So, looking at this formation, i have following comments:

- That back three, witch Pickford behind is seriously great. Tarkowski doesn't have to play the ball, Myko will be better because of his technique, and will no longer be exposed for his lack of speed and offensive limitations.
- Aznou will be used offensively, and will psysichally not be exposed from PL-wingers.
- N'Diaye and Dibling will take advantege of central positions, using strenth with carrying the ball, dible in small rooms and not be "left alone" anymore.

Unfortunately, this will not happen with David Moyes, since he only plays a conservative 4-2-3-1, and will place us solid in 7th-11th position and install his "small club"-mentality to the club once again.
Harsh on Rohl that

Lucas Digne has lost his place becuase he is past his best and not up to being any more than a squad option.

We watched Norton Cuffy 3 times and by all accounts were not that impressed by him.

Might be in the minority but I don’t want Grealish on a permanent. I just want us to get some pace in the team and he’s not it. If it’s 10 mill or so and he can provide a different option off the bench then great but I don’t want him becoming a white elephant no manager will ever drop going forward. Would rather give George Dibling and any other new signings the opportunity.

I hope George comes into the left and is electric. Showing what happens when we drive forwards rather than slowing down the play.

Would be good if he, Dibling, Armstrong and Aznou get regular minutes and are ready to be in the mix for preseason.

3 windows and only Aznou in at full back with 0 league minutes.

We really need to spend on this position in the summer. Its past being silly now.

There has to be a team we can put out at some point that harnesses the athleticism of Branthwaite OBrien Rohl Armstrong Iroegbunam Dibling Ndiaye George Barry. That’s with KDH Alcaraz Garner of course also.

We’re not going down this season so I don’t see why we can’t take a bit more of a chance and start bedding in an 11 for next season. The longer we cling to Coleman Keane Mykolenko Tarkwoski Gueye McNeil, the longer we’ll stay in mediocrity. They were fine for backs to the wall relegation scraps but we’ve got an opportunity now to move away from them and towards an 11 that is mobile enough to perform on the front foot and on the counter attack home and away against anyone.

Moyes has never done this. Its so uninspiring.

Completely agree with the formation sentiment. I actually reckon this was the plan at the start of the season until Branthwaite got injured. A lefties and a mighty in him and o Brien either side of Tarky and I reckon Aznou was bought as a LWB becaue height wouldn't matter so much with those 3 in the team. Also think KDH was bought as a number 8 based on what he said in previous interviews.

Not sure a out the Digne shout but he was great for us. Another athletic LWB instead and agree with the Norton-Cuffy Shout. I still think N'diaye can play number 9 (though Barry might still come good) and I would love to see Grealish and George either side of him with Garner and KDH in the midfield 2. Thats a really solid team to start next season.
