Summer transfer window.

We need another summer like last with the signing of 7-8 players.
We need rid of and replacements for McNeil Beto Barry Patterson before we even start adding numbers.

In the modern game its virtually impossible to find hidden gems anymore as every club has access to player databases etc. I think the issue is whether Moyes if he's still manager will be wanting the players recommended to him or not and as we've seen this season even the ones he's given the okay to he hasn't trusted

Hopefully they will let Moyes have more of a say and not just thrust the likes of Barry and Dibling onto him without much say. They were the new recruitment team choices for young players with sell on etc, never in a million years are they Moyes players. KDH is the typical Moyes signing who wouldn’t have looked out of place in Moyes’ first reign.

Knowing us we'll sell Beto and Barry, be made up and then replace them with someone even worse!

Hands up who had heard of Igor Thiago before Brentford signed him or that Mitoma at Brighton or Kroupi and Rayan at Bournemouth.

These players exist but we've got to work harder to find them and then employ a manager whose default setting for a striker isn't Liam Delap.

I bet clubs were aware of these players but chose not to sign them (especially Rayan). All clubs have their own individual transfer strategies after all

Exactly. The transfer strategy needs to be more aligned. No point bringing younger players in if the manager won't trust them

Because they are prepared to take a risk that's why. We still shop in the Top 5 Euro leagues, anyone half decent isn't going to come to us without Euroball and at a price. I know Tiago wasn't cheap but he came from Belgian football, we need to be looking at the likes of there, Portugal, Scandinavia. Our best bet going forward (imo) is a few experienced pro's Pickford, KDH, Tarkowski etc, then a bunch of 21-24 year olds where they have some game experience and something to offer straight away, less of the Diblings and Aznous. Id rather no more under 21's unless they are good enough to start. If we want to sign players like that sign them for the youth team imo.
