Are Spurs able to compete for players then?

We're not little old Bournemouth or Brighton or Sunderland. We're Everton FFS. Completely different proposition in terms of fan base, history, etc.

Well yeah, so far Spurs have got two free players, one who is very much on the decline.

And yeah we're Everton FFS, we haven't won anything for years, haven't qualified for any competitions outside of the league for years but don't worry, we haven't been relegated for years to make up for it.

Many players, particularly younger ones won't be interested in 'history'.

Im not sure about that tbh.

Leicester won the league and were a CL team and struggled to attract players of a decent standard because of their status in world football.

Same way villa came straight up and within a season could attract players at a decent level even with gerrard as manager.

Big clubs can attract players of the same status.

Look at spurs they've just nearly been relegated and finished 17th 2 seasons on the bounce. They'll be able to attract a higher caliber of player then those teams this summer

They can but a lot of them could be older players on the decline. I mentioned to someone else. In fact Villa didn't sign thay many big players when they came striaght back up

We can only wait and see who we can 'attract' and if it's going to be difficult, we'll soon hear what the club comes out with.
