Everton will prioritise the signing of a new right-back, which was one of their main outstanding pieces of business from last summer’s window.
They are also expected to target a new central midfielder to play alongside James Garner and a goalscoring winger — most likely on the right.
There will be focus on the striker position too, where they will assess their options. But there is concern over how inflated prices have become in that department, with the Premier League being home to a number of expensive forwards who did not deliver over the past couple of seasons.
Goalkeeping cover and a new left-back may also be sought.
