I don’t know, I mean we are not getting another like him for the money we paid. He is very talented but I do sometimes question whether we get enough assists and goals from him for the type of player he is.

I know what you mean but I generally just skip over anything with his name on it. Funny thing is, didnt even enjoy him as a person or a player when he played for us, certainly not now.

It's more so for me that he is not near the level of a Barcelona or Bayern winger and I can't imagine either spending the rumored fees to sign him.

I get the easy Roma comparison, but we sometimes forget it’s not all about investment. We DID receive investment last season, KDH, Grealish, Barry, Dibling didn’t grow on trees. It’s not about being a poor 2nd, maybe Roma are simply coached better, tactically more adept, able to utilise full squad with substitutions, maybe the players they brought in were able to fully contribute instead of being left to rot on the bench, maybe the players they bought at lesser cost, were bought to improve the areas they needed. We’re only 2nd best for a no of reasons, and splurging money is not only reason. Champagne money with Lemonade tactics will never be a recipe for success.

I recall reading in an article from a reliable journalist that TFG planned to reinvest all the extra revenue generated by the stadium etc back into the club rather than it be syphoned off. That would seem fair enough given they have refinanced the whole club as well. A shame we missed all the extra cash for finishing higher in the league & from the Europa.

Yes but I'd try and haggle for 70m. He doesn't contribute enough in terms of goals or assists for me. Sure, he can be exciting but his product is more than replaceable.

No idea what happens this summer, the team fell of a cliff when the prize was right under there noses.

The manager left millions of pounds of player investment on the sidelines all season, badly managed the end of the season and asked for more of the same from the owners.

We have a completely new scouting network that has been in place for 12 months now, plenty of scope to prepare for the summer window appropriately. I don’t care whether we spend £40m or £140m, as long as they pull their fingers out and target the right players, rather than chase players all summer then spunk £40m up the wall and let the asset depreciate in value with every passing week. Huge summer window this, it’s just dependent on whether TFG look back over the past 5 months of results & performances and bite the bullet with Moyes or stick. We knew we couldn’t resolve all problems in 1 transfer window, but we never thought our full back & forward options would be worse off!!

Not I don’t disagree that our hit rate is questionable, other clubs manage to find these guys a decent clip, they are out there.

You see it in flashes with him, so thete is something there. Its just bringing it out consistently and then improving him.

Kane and Olise have gone up a level and they were already top players. Havent seen much of Rashford but playing and training with that calibre of players every day, I think he will turn into a top player.

I find it amusing that the Geordies have seen what we saw when he was coming to the end of his time with us. They are not happy with him!

Agree but blame him for the poor use of the squad, honestly that right hand sode of the pitch having obrien and rohl. Just so pathetuc and how has used players Dibling george alcaraz shouldnhave got game time. Just wont accept another transfer window after this still talking about fb. I expect us to have a better squad next season and the manager must use it look at the sunderland game he must be more proactive using subs not just making the one change in cf

Same here mate. We need to get rid of any sentimentality - there are loads at the club that we all like, give there all but are ultimately limited or beyond there peak - Idrissa, Beto, Tim, Myko, Keane , McNeill - we need to be ruthless, thanks, good lads but ultimately won’t progress this club.

I’m open minded on everyone else also…..how we played this year was too one dimensional and telegraphed. There was no directness, pace of spontaneity.

Surely the same would have to apply to the manager though
