Summer transfer window.

Iraola would bring a real change of attitude to the coaching team and I think would want a very different profile of footballers in his squad.

When I watched Bournemouth play Citeh I thought that Alex Scott was outstanding.

Let Gueye, McNeil and Tim leave and base the midfield on Garner, Scott and KDH with Armstrong and Rohl as back up. Even Dibling might have opportunities in an advanced midfield position with that group rotating to provide a fresh dynamic 3

Want a RB.

Linked with a RB.

The wrong RB apparently.

Rinse/Repeat

The Everton Fan expectancy cycle summed up.

FWIW I'm ambivalent over AWB.
I think for 10m, it's not a bad bit of business.

Not wildly exciting, but not every signing can be

Plus, he is a genuine right back, someone on here told me there weren't any of those in world football

He’s not wrong.

It’s true. But double edged sword.

We are more than capable of wasting money on players whether they have 400 PL games or Zero. Experience might get us Soucek and Trippier 🥹. Venturing into the exciting waters of overseas footy seems to get us the likes of Beto, Barry, Lindstrom, Aznou. Other teams unearth these monsters who scrore hat tricks and can control the ball properly, then sell them for £80m after 2 years.

We must be the most consistently bad club at recruitment in the league. We were once decent and brining in the odd gem like Distin, Barry (the OG version) etc, but in the modern era, when we have had money to spend on a marquee player, or a position that desperately needs filling, we invariably get it completely wrong.

Given the hundreds of millions spent in the last decade or so, it’s the wastefulness that has seen us fall below the clubs with garden sheds for grounds.

Based on the no PL experience/development buys from last summer, I’ve no confidence this crew have the faintest idea how to navigate this rebuild. Couple of sure things (KDH, Grealish), couple of keepers we will never see, and then the rest not good enough for the PL, or not ready for the PL, or amazingly our second biggest ever signing who unfortunately cannot play football anywhere other than Southampton. Great work.

I don't think it'd harm us to, basically, go into the window being open minded on almost every position. Other than the goalkeeper, I'd certainly be open to replacing the entire team.

Same here mate. We need to get rid of any sentimentality - there are loads at the club that we all like, give there all but are ultimately limited or beyond there peak - Idrissa, Beto, Tim, Myko, Keane , McNeill - we need to be ruthless, thanks, good lads but ultimately won’t progress this club.

I’m open minded on everyone else also…..how we played this year was too one dimensional and telegraphed. There was no directness, pace of spontaneity.

Its about balance:
Jordan Pickford, Roy Keane and Michael Carrick came from relegated clubs. Its whether the player is good.
You want players that are young enough to be the future (like Moyes version 1 did) or ideally even younger like Bournemouth.
Agree the 'modern' way with managers not even having much input on players - it feels like Bmouth, Brighton, Brentford and Sunderland are making it work. But most other clubs are struggling to match it. Feels strange. Villa have done it the opposite way.

Surely someone can enlighten us with some hope of Moyes being moved on? Please? Cannot be arsed for another year of the last 5 months. TFG would love another safe year you’d imagine. They were kind off ruthless at Roma tho!
