Summer transfer window.

Roma looking to sign G*eenwood, Summerville AND Zirkzhee whilst we shop on the Asda scav aisle for Trippier, Wilson and Vardy, “IF” during pre-season they invest more heavily into Roma than ourselves questions have got to be asked regarding the future ambitions of the ownership, seems we come a poor 2nd everytime.

They're all muck and not worth the effort though.

This is nonsense, many of the better players tailed off because they’d been run into the ground. The manager is allergic to rotation unless forced into it. It’s only one guys decisions to start the center back pairing that was shipping goals for fun for the last 7 games of the season. Inability to utilise the squad rests exclusively on Moyes

Any new players this summer will probably be resigned to a season on the bench too
Run into the ground? Most of them only played 40 games max.

Genuinely mad. He's not a top level striker or winger. He's going to stand out like a sore thumb once there and he'll be loaded out within 18 months imo.
Genuinely can’t believe this.
I think he will probably look decent there, initially at least, but they must be looking at Rashfords wages and age and thinking we can’t be doing that deal, who else can run fast with the ball at his feet.

Any manager that tells an underperforming, lucky to be 1-0 ahead team to 'keep doing what they are doing' at HT and then admit that publicly after losing 1-3 is clearly letting his players and the team down. Thats a dereliction of duty
So the players bear no responsibility for what happens on the pitch. So at three one up against City the plan was for the defence to open up like the Red Sea

Thats an interesting take. If it was one or two players you could put it down to individuals. If as you say, there were lots of them switching off, i think you can ABSOLUTELY put it on the manager...hes not motivitating the team, ( his job), maybe some are completely knackered ( over played) and they arent trying for him anymore...none of those things reflect well on the manager!
When Palace out run them after the number of games they've played this season it's hard to think our lot are jaded from playing too many games

Money for players doesn't come from the owners. It must come from club revenue. What you can do if you want is compare the relative turnover, and attractiveness of both clubs, and then compare the signings that are made this summer. Roma is a fabulous and attractive capital city, and a team that is playing in Europe. Not 100% sure why we continue to compare ourselves to them. Im also not sure why so many people still think that owners pour money in for player purchases. Those days are decades past.

Why is it always this binary point of view? Of course the players, particularly the centre backs could have done a lot better. But that doesn't absolve the manager.

Same as the fact that the manager could have done a lot better doesn't absolve the players.

To act like those 2 things are mutually exclusive is nonsense.

Of course they have responsibility, but if they keep making mistakes or perform bad consistently, what should the manager do? Yes drop them from the team, I mean in any level of football that happens, kids football, Sunday league, League 2, but no at elite level our manager rewards poor performances with a start in the next game, and the next and the one after that.

Is it any wonder the likes of Dibling and Aznou are pissed off, any wonder the likes of Keane and Tarks dont seem to learn from mistakes.
If we had a game this week the team would be the same as the last 2 shocking performances, so the message to the squad is, im playing the players I trust to let me down every single week and regardless of the result or performance it will be the same next week.

It's insanity to not be able to see how incompetent and stubborn he is, like pure madness.

Should look at a few of the Wolfsburg players now that they’re down, fan of that Koulierakis and Amoura, or if you’re Moyes and you need prem experience and want to slow down the team even more we can sign eriksen and lindstrom

No ofc they bear some responsibility but you claimed none of the drop off can be hung on the manager. I gave you a recent example of one that can. His job is to oversee what is happening all over the pitch and direct accordingly, so if they had doubts about their performance he told them they were doing well, which we all know they weren't. Everyone knew we were lucky to be winning that game.

As for the defence, they've been shambolic of late but he's not changed it, which again is telling them he's ok with their performances.
To your main point again, the players may have been dialling it in but so was Moyes.
Two things I expected most from Moyes are:

We bounce back from defeats with a strong performance and don't make the same mistakes over and over.
Players play on merit. If they underperform they are dropped. This only seems to apply to younger players now and they get dropped even if they play well.
Hopefully next year he performs better.
