Summer transfer window.

….he’d certainly help but he does give the ball away lots. Also, not sure how he’d link with Grealish as he’s gung-ho rather than clever in possession.
They certainly wouldn’t be on the same wavelength.

Just looking at his stats and only 24% of his crosses are successful compared to 22% for Mykolenko so not a significant upgrade in that respect.

This stat is never, ever something you should pay attention to

Pff, what is successful? Not his fault if nobody gets on the end of it. He swings in far not crosses than Myko and if rapid too—something we desperately need.

Bowen is on 150kpw and would even in case of relegation cost at least 30 million, I suspect it would be closer to 40. That would be an outlay of something like 80 million (if he signs a five-year contract) on a 29-year old with no resale value. Not the model I'd like club have moving forward.

Don't mind Diouf as an option. Hard to fully extricate a players' performance from the team as a whole when (i) that team are in a relegation scrap; (ii) the player is a new signing; and (iii) the player is so young. If Diouf was a 27 year old who had been at the club for 5 years it would be an easy no. However has had to be inducted into the Prem as a 21 year old alongside some of the worst centre halves in the league (Kilman and Todibo are garbage) and has still shown flashes of quality. The optimist in me can see him becoming a pretty decent attacking full back at Prem Level.

Summerville is class, proper underrated, and has caused pretty much every full back he's come up against a world of problems. Would bite your hand off if the price is right, fee + wages. Get him and Grealish, keep Nidyae, sell McNeill and say no to George. With Dibling would have 4 class options then

*turns off Champ Man*

Last Summer we had hope
This Summer we have fear
Check the archives: we definitely didn't. From what I remember, this place was an absolute bin fire of hopes and dreams. I think following the USA tourny BBC Sport did an expose on how underprepared we were for the new season. Quite a few numbskulls in the commentariat had us going down

So:
Last Summer we had fear
This summer we have fear
Fear eternal

Nah, Last Summer Everything was a fresh start ahead. New Owners, New Stadium, A cull of the squad.
That window was a window of hope ( We failed )
because of that this Summer is a window of fear..

( This thread is always a bin fire of dreams and as for USA trip, that was during the window, not going into it )

Maybe he goes back to Hull if they get promotion to PL.

I`m going for the RS, as the Salah replacement.

He`s had little links with them for a few years now, as his replacement, unless they`ve had their eye on someone else on the sly 🤷‍♂️

They don’t spend £40m+ on 30 year olds, that’s not their model. They’ll be getting some 21 year old wonderkid from Europe to replace Salah instead of Jarrod Bowen sadly.
