….who has he bought from his old clubs? You’re probably right but I was trying to recall who he’s bought from us and who we’ve bought from West Ham.
He took a few to Sunderland although that was a pretty desperate situation.

McNair, Love and Januzaj from United.
Pienaar, Gibson and Oviedo from Everton.
He also brought in Anichebe and Lescott who has already left Everton but still count here I think.

Diouf and Summerville are the ones I want from West Ham. Perfect ages (21 and 24) and perfectly fit what we require.

…Diouf impressed with his pace and athleticism at our place earlier this season so I’ve kept a closer eye on him since and he is a defensive calamity in possession.

There’s a reason West Ham are where they are, only Burnley and Wolves have conceded more goals and Diouf would certainly have you biting your nails.

Yes but he's 21. Loads of time to learn, plus we'll keep Mykolenko. He wouldn't need to be played every week. A great option when we want to attack at home, and allow him to move to first choice after a year and Mykolenko is ready to leave.

….you need to watch him a bit more, being ‘poor in possession’ is not particularly something you learn. I watched him in one of their recent home games, he was an absolute calamity in defence. Great athlete, poor footballer.

I feel like you could offset this a little bit with a fit Branthwaite covering and a more defensive right-back.

But that's a lot of sacrifice for a left-back.

….he’d certainly help but he does give the ball away lots. Also, not sure how he’d link with Grealish as he’s gung-ho rather than clever in possession.
They certainly wouldn’t be on the same wavelength.

Just looking at his stats and only 24% of his crosses are successful compared to 22% for Mykolenko so not a significant upgrade in that respect. Mykolenko actually has more crosses.

I give to you.
Can't half swing a cross in. If we had a fully fit Branthwaite at LCB we could easily accommodate a LB who is 6/10 in defending but 8/10 attacking (with massive potential to improve as he's only 21). As it goes right now, we have a 7/10 defending and 2/10 attacking LB.

Bring him in ffs.
