Summer transfer window.

Surprised people would turn up their noses at Ben White. He plays at a higher level and would definitely improve the team.

That said, a lot of people turned their noses up at Grealish and KDH as well!
They also turned their noses up at Schneiderlin and Gibson who both "played at a higher level" and would apparently definitely improve the team but were, in fact, mince.

You’re right on both counts [his crosses and his cut backs]. For me, it’s more the profile of the fullback that I want us to be in for. Our threat would be so much greater if you dropped a Coleman and a Baines, in their pomp, into this team right now. I’m done with the safety first, cross it in from 35-yards away from the byline approach. We need pace and directness, IMO.
100% with you mate. Just making the point about Coleman's crossing. Prime Baines and Coleman in this side with the way the league has been this year, and we could have got CL - despite our other deficiencies.

Moyes is doing my head in with his attitude to FBs though. He has repeatedly talked about needing height in the team and, I'm sure it was Bobble who said that we didn't sign a RB in the last two windows because Moyes doesn't believe we can get a better RB than JOB.

I think that's horrendous. JOB is a really poor RB, and I really rate the fella as a CB and was really pleased when we signed him from Lyon.

Yup, build for the future🤣...problem with buying PL proven 30 year olds...they slow down, they are used to fat wages and will have ZERO resale value...been there, done that, had a long expensive clear out now we want to restock with the same ilk of players?: Fabien Delph, Schneiderlin, Tom Cleverly to name but a few...
I could have sworn we actually broke even on Cleverly.

But I have made the point so many times, there isn't a club who should be OK with signing the majority of their players on the wrong side of 30. Not a single one. Which is why Moyes honestly needs to go.

Sounds like Grealish is pretty much over the line.

WIll we wake up tomorrow seeing Dibling & Armstong passed out drunk and Moyes having no problem with it?

Moyes has always had his favourites and we can look forward to another season of:

Predictable attacks
Slowing the play down
Ndiaye out of position

Apparently masquerading as "control".

Has Illy really done more on the left this season than the right ?
Has O'Brien been caught out more since Illy swapped back to the left ?

And no I haven't tried looking up stats, just simple question..

In fact if it wasn't for Jack than Illy wouldn't have got the first goal at BMD

Illy destroyed Doku on the right in this corresponding fixture

Ndiaye will be going to Man Utd if we don't make Europe, mate.

He’s a good player though. Who cares if he turned us down when we were

You might be right about Cleverly, couldnt remember who it was I thinking of...Gibson, McGeady, point is signing aging players for their e perience is a recipe for disaster...

When Grealish was playing teams had to cover both wings with 2 players to focus on.

Now McNeil is playing teams can focus on Ndiaye.

For me, Ndiaye is clearly better on the left.

Lucky weve been developing Dibling to replace him.

:p

Could we not just prioritise signing an actual left back? Just a thought

Id be surprised if we don't flog Myko after giving him a one year extension instead of a new contract mate.

I think we are likely to see one conservative pick and one attacking one at full back, Moyes likes one sitter and one adventurous fullback

People tend to remember Baines and Coleman, but id wager we played more often with someone like Hibbo and Baines then we ever did with Coleman and Baines.
