Summer transfer window.

Or selling for the same price or selling to one of the other leagues is Europe / Rest of the world?

His value will be what another team is willing to pay.

It was a hypothetical - time will tell.
I’m just answering the point you made. Selling in the same window tends to happen when the players value has increased and there’s an opportunity to make a profit. It’s difficult to imagine that being the case with rohl at the moment. The PL is where the money is, there aren’t many leagues in Europe where paying £20m for a player with rohl’s record is the done thing. Of course it’s a hypothetical, and I’m not saying there’s absolutely no chance of it ever happening and it’s the worst idea I’ve ever heard, I’m just explaining to you why I think it would be difficult.

I think Spurs can and probably will be leveraged into selling Richarlison for less than 50 percent of what they bought him for this Summer. He will leave for around 20 million imo.

His injuries are a concern but he’s still only 28, and he’s currently outscored any of our players having only played 50 percent of games! He can also play across the front line.

People will whinge and demand the perfect transfer, and then we will end up spending £15 million on someone like Chermiti, who ends up being even crapper than Tom Cannon.

No big deal if he doesn’t come, but I think he can ‘lead the line’ as well as, y’know, put the ball in the back of the net.

We will also end up selling the likes of McNeil and Iroegbunam for around 15 million each!
What’s with this obsession for signing Richarlison again?

We got a great price and he’s plagued with injuries. Leave him well alone.

Sentimental guff as usual.

There is no obsession, mate. I just rate him as a footballer, and think he’s an upgrade on our current dross, which is proven by the fact that he’s scored more than all of our strikers despite only playing in half of Spurs’ games.

If you know of an even better striker that is guaranteed not to get injured that will be available for around 20 million, then let us know so we can check him out. That’s what the transfer thread is all about.

Isn’t it mad how the supposed sentimentality only applies to good footballers? I can’t seem to remember anyone suggesting that we should be reunited with Maupay, Klassen or Rondon.

What makes you think Spurs would sell at that price out of interest? Just plucking a figure out of the air?

Keep reading links to John Stones. Would be a terrible signing. Massively overhyped even at his peak, always injured, on big wages and the on the way down. Kind of signing we should be steering well clear of. Unfortunately could see Moyes going for because “he’s got PL experience”.
Good player who could even play as a holding midfielder but yeah his injury record means swerve unless he's prepared to play for substantially reduced wages

He only has a year left on his contract. There are some reports saying that there is a ‘verbal agreement’ that he can leave for about 20 million:

I also think that’s about right, and that nobody would be willing to pay much more than that for him.

I think I would pay 20m for 20 matches of a guy who would immediately be our best striker. Over his last 3400 minutes its 22 goals and 8 assists, and he seems to always be available for 20 matches a year. If you have a squad, seems an asset.
