Summer transfer window.

The squad should always be in a state of transition. The right type of transition though; organic, stable, and part of a broader vision.

I think Dwight will move on. Coleman too. Personally I'd keep both Barry and Beto and buy another striker.

What's going on with Myko, is he out of contract or do we have an option? The bits I've heard have been conflicting. I'd keep him if we can but buy a better left back, or at least buy a proper attacking right back or two.

The Athletic reported we have a one year option mate, players can get annoyed though when these are activated as they obliviously want security an a bit of a pay rise.

If we really wanted him to stay, id say wed be offering him a new deal as opposed to triggering the option.

…..lots of suggestions about selling Barry and McNeil, don’t think I’ve seen similar for Dibling. If we do take up the option on George as well as come to an agreement for Grealish, then Dibling will be quite a way down the pecking order.

Not sure he’s currently a ‘sellable asset’ in that he’ll generate interest at an acceptable fee, maybe he’ll be offered out on loan but there’ll be no guarantee that manifests in more game time for him.

I think the plan was always to sell McNeil and bring in George. It just didn't quite work out the way we wanted it to in Jan.

If we get into Europe then we will need Ndiaye, George, Dibling and Grealish. They'll all get gametime.

Would people be happy with flipping Beto and bringing in Ivan Toney for a few seasons?
Absolutely, if he’s still got it.

Folks clutching their pearls cos he grabbed the chance to sort out his family’s financial future. SMH, as the kids say.

FWIW Moyes spoke highly of him in a presser end of last season when it was mooted as a possibility.

Only thing I’d be worried about is if he’s gotten rusty in the meantime.

Sounds like you're clutching at the 'Weaker league' option.

Yeah we need 4 wingers regardless. I think without doubt we had the smallest squad of anyone this season, and it really bit us on the ass around January.

My reaction when we just end up signing Delap for a club record fee:

….worth keeping an eye on Braiden Graham, a big season for him coming up. Scored another 4 last night, his stature means he’s most likely to be utilised in wide positions if he can make the step up. Always the possibility he goes on loan but might feature in pre-season.
