Summer transfer window.

Be after joa gomes the cm for me depnds what teams in for him but think would be quality. 2. Not sure would go into the season with barry and delap next season if was moyes. But does need to make a choice on what to do next season with the cf options, would put in a loan offer for richarlison for next season, wouldnt be starting every gam but be a great option to have in the squad also gives is another option out wide and could play as a cf/second stirker
Think we'd struggle with attracting Gomes, lot of clubs will be after him. Not to say we shouldn't try, classy operator

His midfield partner, Andre, is very underrated imo. More of a spoiler, proper no.6 with bite in the tackle and a good presser, but tidy on the ball as well. I'd be going all out for him personally

Money, money, money. They pay some ridiculous wages there and no tax. I recently got offered a job that would have basically paid triple after tax plus car, housing, medical insurance for whole family, relocation costs, kids schooling etc for a job in Abu Dhabi.

Something about Toney that just puts me off, why would you go to the Saudi league at his age ?

He is now 30 and rumours are he can be difficult in the dressing room

Apparently he was a reasonably late bloomer and was on a very low wage at Brentford for one of the top scorers in the league - id say he went to Saudi to cover the spread of earning less in the early part of his career.

Does beg the question of if we flip Beto what can we reasonably expect in terms of a profile of a replacement? - many seem to not want a Delap - while many wouldn't want someone of a Toney profile.

I dont see us dropping close to £80 mill - on a forward like Ekitike or Woltemade, so then you are looking at trying to find a Thiago somewhere - which as we see with Barry as he is developing - comes with a bit of boom and bust.

Very hard to see many quality CFs around at the moment.

Weve been linked to Santiago Castro a few times now.

Generational opportunity to build a squad capable of challenging the best in the division if we can finish top 5.

We absolutely must win on Sunday to stand a chance though.

I don't think there would be much of a spending upgrade if we end in the Europa or Conference League vs not making Europe.

£100m net if not finishing top 5, possibly 2x that if we make it.

If we had maybe a more senior forward mate - i think there is potential and value in Marc Guiu at Chelsa, even if many have their eye on Delap.

Stylistically he would fit in well with the way Davey will play and i see head room.

Though i cant see us running with him and Barry as two junior strikers - or rather not wholly PL established.

….i don’t mind Beto, he offers something different even if we manage to find somebody better.

I suppose he’s a ‘sellable asset’, somebody who could bring in some decent monies and not drastically impact team performance. If he chooses to see out his final year or signs a contract extension then I’m ok with that. Made of the right stuff and seems popular within the club.

I half feel like this mate, but when i gave it a bit thought, i came down at the point that we have to move on from comfort blanket players (and i think we have a few) next year or at least start and transition the squad.

To put that in context i mean moving on from players who are fine and trying to improve it - im talking about lads who are all heart but with limits or wrong profile.....im thinking Beto, Myko, McNeill, Idrissa, Patterson, Coleman, Keane, and maybe even Tim and JT - these lads are great pros, servants and 9 times out of ten you can hang your hat on them and no one really dislikes them in the main - but we aren't going to improve over the next 5 years with them either IMO.

I think we have to be ruthless and make some tough and maybe unpopular decisions.

The squad should always be in a state of transition. The right type of transition though; organic, stable, and part of a broader vision.

I think Dwight will move on. Coleman too. Personally I'd keep both Barry and Beto and buy another striker.

What's going on with Myko, is he out of contract or do we have an option? The bits I've heard have been conflicting. I'd keep him if we can but buy a better left back, or at least buy a proper attacking right back or two.

I think we'll see the back of McNeil (sold), Coleman (retired), Patterson (sold) and Alcaraz (sold).

Could we maybe get £25m for those lot?

Hope to also see Barry sold too. £15m?

Mykolenko is a proficient left back and would be a good squad option, but where does that leave Aznou? Maybe the manager needs to decide between them? I don't think either should be starting for us next season though.

Keane will stay, Armstrong will probably be back out on loan next season and the manager will have a decision to make on whether to keep or flip Iroegbunam. Gueye will start next season alongside Garner, with Röhl obviously also here too.
