Summer transfer window.

But we're not gonna be signing some £40m kid from anywhere on the wing is the point you aren't understanding.

None of us know that, its purely conjecture both ways.

He's great but the time to sign him was last season.

Quite a common trend with us.
The last seasons "Should signing" needs to start being the New seasons "Do signing"

We've signed Dibling & Aznou last summer and in 1 or 2 seasons may be very thankful for doing so.

I think it all depends on if West Ham go down or not. If they stay up there's no chance we will get him because they'd be looking at a fee 1.5-2x more than they paid (45m).

We have, and hopefully they will be the lads that move us forward, we should always look at that aspect.

But a player like Fernandez has walked straight into a team and already planted himself in it and he's only 21.

That is youth, good enough to be a now player and plenty of time for the future or resale value..

That carry's every trait you are looking for in 1..

Forget the players name, that kind of impact signing is moving forward..

from the clips I have seen, looks like an attacking RB, which is what we need. My only concern is that, given his age and lack of Premier league experience, he might be a player that the club want to sign, but the manager wont use, like Adam Aznou

Would Moyes ever give a player of his age a run of games to get used to the team?

I think the best we can hope for is to bring these players in and see them used in europe and cup games.

Dont mind a signing like that as a 2nd choice player / one to develop as we need 2 right backs.

If you're good enough and show it when you get the chance, yeah I think he would.

None of our bench have grabbed a chance and made you look up thinking we have a player here.

That doesn't mean they wont, but the point that was put out in the original post was we should have signed him in the Summer..

If we are going to be in a great place, we shouldn't always be saying we should have signed these certain players. We should be the ones doing it while other clubs are saying it.

I just think if you click on someones page and they have the same injury 3+ times, more so if it's a large muscle injury, then there are probably much better options out there.

It's hardly like we don't have history of injury prone players being injury prone for us.
Here's a question.

Would you have signed this guy in summer of 2011?
