Summer transfer window.

This might sound negative, and flags the obvious question 'if these players are good, why are their teams in trouble?', but here goes...

If viable, then who would we target from relegated clubs?

Forest have had 4 managers, I don't think any player flourishes in that environment. Toxic owner, too.

For me: Archie Gray/Spurs
For Moyes: Jarrod Bowen/Wham

LB: Bueno/Wolves + Diouf/Wham

MF: Joao Gomes, Andre, Mane / Wolves + Fernandes/Wham.

There must be something Guardiola and Carsley see with him.

He doesnt appear to be great at anything. Just an average all rounder aside from being weak physically.

Yet hes got 106 games under his belt for City, England and England u21s.

He looked like he could go onto great things.

Cant remember what happened to him apart from being moved into different positions and being poor outside of centre back.
I have a mate who's a City fan and ge can't stand him says he a "nothing plater" which I think is quite apt

O'Reilly on the other hand, he thinks he's the dogs....

Callum Wilson was just on one.

Yeah, also believe we had Saha on similar.

Getting them over the line depends on a number of factors which can include how hungry the player is to get out of a contract and play footy, how much they're prepared to back themselves, and what other offers they have on the table.

He does indeed. He also loves a player who can play multiple positions.

What does this mean? You dont think he is suited to playing RB?

I've seen him have some really poor games for City at RB. He's typically looked good going forward though.

What position do you think suits him?

Hes a wriggler and seems to get out of problems by a turn or a wriggle.

When a player is physical with him, he's really caught out. Could expect Moyes to improve him here as he has with Aznou :o

Funny thing though how Pep seems to love him and has given him so many games over the years, Carsley too.

A very good point. If it wasnt Moyes i'd say that it takes the pressure off him and can develop at his own pace.

But yeah we know Moyes will stick with experience.
Dont think we have time anymore need be bringing in a rb to start limits how we play and the development of players like obrien. Agree with you on bowen ect would be a mistake as be a high transfer fee and wages and his age. I would take another grealish loan, think that gomes at wolves will be a great pick up by a coub this window

On the 'full backs who arent full backs' topic I like O'Reilly but that MLS looks like he'll be the best LB of the lot.

I've not seen a player attack like he can from LB for a while.

I rate Hall as a LB but if Arsenal are open to selling MLS we've got to be in the bidding.

Right back is a really tough one. Not too many out there that seem to offer good value.

They exist but not as people think they do, legally you have to pay someone a wage - but the wage can be low and the rest performance/appearance based and incentives are built in for additional pay

Everyone has to be given a basic wage though. ;)

Linked along with 4 or 5 top sides by his agent.
Watched him play a month or so ago, he's got good physicality but I wasn't overly convinced about him from a technical viewpoint. Granted its a 1 game viewpoint but he didn't give me the feeling of a superstar in the making
