Summer transfer window.

BBC Football Gossip saying we are interested in Stones who will be a free agent in the summer. I will be physically sick if this waste of space comes back.

Know that feeling...someone posted a photo of Baines out on the Goodison pitch by himself at the end of Martinez's 1st or 2nd season I think. If it was a windup, it was a doozy...I was about to declare the end of the world; well, my world anyhow.

He does indeed. He also loves a player who can play multiple positions.

What does this mean? You dont think he is suited to playing RB?

I've seen him have some really poor games for City at RB. He's typically looked good going forward though.

What position do you think suits him?

Hes a wriggler and seems to get out of problems by a turn or a wriggle.

When a player is physical with him, he's really caught out. Could expect Moyes to improve him here as he has with Aznou :o

Funny thing though how Pep seems to love him and has given him so many games over the years, Carsley too.

A very good point. If it wasnt Moyes i'd say that it takes the pressure off him and can develop at his own pace.

But yeah we know Moyes will stick with experience.
You ask an excellent question Zat. I've seen Lewis play very many games and I have no idea where he should play .
He's neat and tidy in possession but is ridiculously lightweight and too easily knocked off the ball to be a defender and he also lacks great pace.
He could probably play centre mid in a league where there is limited contact but even then his range of passing isn't that impressive.

The only redeemable thing with Lewis is that if you buy low enough, you might be able to afford to experiment with him in midfield. But it's the type of gamble and experiment you'd want to do cheap because if it failed, you have a championship level right back like Max Aarons.

There must be something Guardiola and Carsley see with him.

He doesnt appear to be great at anything. Just an average all rounder aside from being weak physically.

Yet hes got 106 games under his belt for City, England and England u21s.

Rico Lewis is bang average. Came out all flash but soon tapered off. May as well be Brendan Galloway.

He looked like he could go onto great things.

Cant remember what happened to him apart from being moved into different positions and being poor outside of centre back.

Forest had a £30mil offer knocked back in August didnt they?

If youre swimming in that pool then you'd be better off pushing the boat a bit to £40mil and going after a really top prospect.

Still though, I'm missing it with Lewis. He's seemingly got an edge somewhere but what that is, I have no idea.

This might sound negative, and flags the obvious question 'if these players are good, why are their teams in trouble?', but here goes...

If viable, then who would we target from relegated clubs?

Forest have had 4 managers, I don't think any player flourishes in that environment. Toxic owner, too.
