If I just got to see one Podolski thunderbolt fly in the top corner in a royal blue jersey I'd be made up. He will be on a large wage for a (assembly) bit part player.

His season was actually his best in an Evrton shirt. He was easily our best player up until January.

Wolfsburg away was actually my favourite moment from last season. We looked like we had really got into gear, then fell apart at Spurs three days later and never recovered until February!

Would love to know why the press are agitating for a McCarthy move on the basis that he's one of the lowest paid players in the team. I thought he was our highest ever and now 2nd highest transfer fee paid (after, now, Lukaku - though you can argue re Fellaini's fee). I can't believe that we'd make give our most expensive signing a lower wage than, say, a dozen other first teamers.
