Summer Transfer Window - Credible Rumours Only Please

So the rumour that Deulofeu has told a couple of people he wants to come back to us, does that count as crap? Because that was certainly broken by the papers, not Twitter. Regardless of how jarg the papers may be, they can be right.

I can't quite understand where you want to draw the line here. Are you looking for a thread that only talks about confirmed/certain transfers? That'll have a grand total of ten posts, if not less.
Exactly. That's what we are after right here mate.

The other thread is for this jarg speculation guff.

At least someone gets it.

Please re-read my post. Then, once you've realised how what you've just said is completely incorrect, you'll know why I regret clicking the "show ignored posters" button.

You claim it was a MASSIVE story and yet, I search google and I find this clickbait from the Daily Star.

Barcelona star Gerard Deulofeu admits he wants a return to Everton

Oh wow, he admits he wants to return, OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

But then, you read the story.

Deulofeu, enjoyed a successful, albeit brief, time on Merseyside - the undoubted highlight of which was a powerful equaliser away to Arsenal.

The 21-year-old has failed to build on his initial success in Spain having been largely frozen out while on loan with Sevilla.

Sevilla Sporting Director Monchi claims Deulofeu has all the makings of a world class player, but lacks the attitude.

He said: "Deulofeu is a great player, but he has to learn to live with the elite."

It's unclear how much Barcelona value their coveted youngster, but figures of £8m have been circulating in the Spanish media.

Deulofeu clearly enjoyed his time at Goodison Park and left with a sincere farewell message.

He wrote: "I would like to thank Everton and all their fans for this year so special in my career. A new country, a new club, a new way of seeing, live and understand football.

"I have grown as a football player, but also as a person and that is why I would like to thank every person that has helped and accompanied me on this journey.

"I wish Everton lots of luck and success in the future."

And what a surprise, he doesnt say a single thing in relation to the clickbait headline.

So please, if you can link me to a SINGLE reputable source, excluding weapons on twitter, that shows we have even the slightest interest, im all ears.

So if somebody said "Bolaise signing on Monday" on twitter it must be true?

Are you trying your best to be really stupid in order to win a prize?

The amount of quilts who actually get sucked into the blag gossip and enjoy it is astounding.

Soccer AM kopites.

Calm down gents.

Anyone that actually believed that Del was going to sign yesterday was plainly a bad ted/quilt/texan/RicardoHead ( delete as appropriate ) but talk in here about the possibility of him returning is valid because there seems to be a chance that it might happen.

As for Payet, again, with it coming from the Guardian, I'd be inclined to believe there MIGHT be something in it. There was a "league table" published somewhere the other year showing how accurate newspaper / websites were with their info ( aka guesses ) and I'm pretty sure the Guardian was high up on the list. It's certainly a step up from the "we've scouted <whoever> in the last 12 months" kind of thing which, given the number of players we must scout, means diddly squat really.

Agreed fully. So that type of guff belongs in the other thread right?

tl;dr - inabit everton

Sorry mate, could of swore that we've been linked.

If we have then fair enough. I can't see anything though. He's been linked to Spuds, Arsenal, West Ham and our neighbours recently but I can't find anything in the last month for us.

Just do a quick google over the last month next time eh ? (y)

Nah, you can't split talk about a player up based on when he may, or probably won't sign.
Off the top of my head I'd say talk about

  • Deulofeu
  • Dann and
  • Payet
was defo valid in here because there's been enough in the press recently to suggest they're actually possibilities. There might be one or two others but they're the ones which come to mind

They're only vague possibilities so they don't have their own threads. Well, Del does, but he's currently marooned in World Footie. If something happens which makes a transfer look like a real goer then they'll get their own thread.

So far, diddly squat ( apart from Cleverley obviously )

Sake I had some traction there too.

Express reporting a French rag has said us and West Ham have made enquiries for Payet.

That is according to L'Equipe, who claim the Premier League pair have made enquiries for the France international.

The 28-year-old topped off an impressive 2014/15 season in Ligue 1 by finishing as the league's top assist maker, setting up 21 goals.

Marseille president Vincent Labrune has already confirmed a host of clubs are in for Payet's signature, and admits players must be sold due to strict financial regulations.

The figure of 8 million for Dann isn't a reliable one however. That came from someone experimenting with a jarg twitter account in the old thread that people picked up and ran surprisingly far with.

I think those player would actually be a decent window for us in addition to Cleverly and bringing in a striker to cover on loan.
