But for every James McCarthy there are 6 Steven Whittakers and Gary Hoopers.

Agreed. Can't believe he hasn't made it to the full Dutch squad uptill now. Him and De Vrij would be my first choice CB pairing. He's certainly better than BMI, Rekik and Bruma. Would also prefer him over Vlaar.
