Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Yeah, we'd never have signed Ndiaye if you based signing a player off a poor season

Similarly, two of Moyes's best signings for Everton in his first spell, Arteta and Pienaar came here off the back of poor form at the clubs they were at (Sociedad and Dortmund respectively I think)

I'm not specifically advocating Antony (he'll end up in Spain), but the really shrewd deals out there are talented players who've had a bad move or don't suit a manager - Europe is littered with players who've been previously highly rated at some point but have made a bad career choice
Lindstrom......

They don't always work out.

Pretty sure that Moyes got Thelwell's and Purdy's player recommendations long ago... That database is EFC property. Those will have been filtered by Moyes, Irvine, Moyes' brother (agent) and that Rob Newman guy he works with, and a plan OKd by the new CEO by now. Then Hammond, (Kinnear's hired-gun negotiator) will be on the case trying to do deals... At least that's the theory...?
You can spin it all you want bit ee urgently need Contract Dave

Southampton have told Everton they want £55M for Tyler Dibling

It’s a terrible quote. We don’t even need the roof on Goodison fixing anymore.

He’ll turn out to be a brilliant player, and if we had a much larger budget and didn’t need to sigh a ton of players then I’d be all for it. Unfortunately we don’t, and we do….so it’ll have to be a no.

Thyrys Dolan on a free would be an excellent Jack Harrison replacement

If we get a first choice winger in he would be a good option off the bench to make a difference on the right (if we get a first choice right sided player)

In Lindstrom's case he was very good in Germany playing the #10 position. For some reason both in Italy and with us he was forced to play RM and it didn't work for him in either place.
He operated right across the front three at Frankfurt with Kamada & Borre - all of which suited each others games. I think he just struggled without those partnerships after he left.

Can believe anyone is giving any credence to the Jack Grealish links, be a really poor irresponsible signing. Fortunately its so anti-Moyes it has to be utter garbage. Be another Norman Whiteside🤦‍♂️
