For me, Grealish operates on a completely different level compared to what we currently have with the possible exception of Iliman Ndiaye, should he maintain his current form. Grealish has won almost everything there is to win and has consistently demonstrated his quality.Saw an interview with Grealish the other year where he basically said exactly this - Pep doesn't like his players to lose the ball, so a lot of the risk is removed from their game. Ergo Grealish doesn't try and do stuff he would have done a few years ago.
Could that be coached out of him at 29? Dunno
One of his most valuable attributes is his ability to retain possession in advanced areas, which has been a long-standing issue for us. Unlike others we've brought in before, I do not view this as another Dele Alli-type risk. Grealish still has that hunger and sharpness. His recent displays for England suggested he thrives with more freedom something Moyes would provide him. I genuinely believe he could flourish again.
