Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I was being facetious mate - but if i was Leeds that's what i would be trying to do.

I do however think, their is a decision to be made on Beto and selling him to be honest.

That's a complex decision, for a few reasons but one i think needs to be made this window.
Let leeds try hopefully the club will remember the gnonto situation and now kinear cant act like when we was in for him. Still has two years left on his deal and with the goals has scored has increased his value now. I honestly think should easily be looking for 20/25 now

I think we look to get what we paid, but his book price is half of that now mate.

If we have a PSR issue to solve Beto, Garner, Myko and Branthwaite are the most likely - maybe Patterson if its small.

I guess the question is - would everyone be happy with Beto playing 38 games next season - because that's the only way he will score goals - if not then we have to consider selling him.

His stock will never be this high again and if we play him as our B forward his value plumets as he enters the last year of his contract.

Its also a question is who would add more on the pitch and as a value proposition between him and DCL.

Football ability is one thing and everyone will disagree on that.

But 1) Ee can give Dom, 5 mill a year for three years and he can be our B striker.

Sell Beto - bank 15 odd mill profit + wages and put to a new starting striker.

Elsewise 2) its loose Dom for nothing - and continue to pay 6 mill in amortization for Beto plus about 3.5 - 4 mill in wages.

Its not saying Beto is bad player - its more a question of could we do better - with the money we bank, plus wages, plus a bit of investment - someone like Delap for example.

*That only works if we dont make any allowances for the likes of keeping Harrison.

If your selling beto you need a striker in first…can’t sell with no replacement

We’ve done that too many times or chased all summer to be left empty handed.

Although feel were judging TFG by the errors of the past…assuming they will by default do a Johnson/Kenwright/Moshiri

Were still linked to crap as the Media view us as also runs…hence lazy West Ham/Rich/vardy links.

Press and us may get a pleasant suprise

I agree with you on selling beto just dont want give him out at a low price, if it was to leeds i would be looking for 25/30 see no reason why we shouldnt be looking for that sort of money. Think is a fair value, think the psr number is low this season still have problem but not massive.
No links but would anyone else think jobe Bellingham would be a good Doucoure replacement?

£25 mill mooted price seems pretty reasonable
rudoni the lad from coventry might be a better shout and cheaper

Valuing Beto the same as Liam Delap mate - would we get away with it?

That said id sell for £25 mill to Italy and as close to £30 as i could get in the PL - charge a premium for the risk.
